Well..mom wanted to go for lunch so I treated but I just had water instead of paying for a drink. Skipped washing my hair to save shampoo...and make my hair color last a little longer!!

you aren't kidding about saving money NOT ever ordering drinks out. they are super expensive now and can rack up a bill fast!

water all the time for us.

except when Tony gives in to Nicole's pink lemonade, which she never drinks....:barnie

can you buy sawdust by the ton.

we do and the savings is huge over bagged.

we all know anything bagged is so much more expensive.

you might not need the quantity we use...just wondering

I never get pop when I go out and neither do the kiddos but, DH just HAS to have his pop!! :he I swear it is the most expensive part of the meal I can go to Mickey D's and feed me and all 5 kiddos for $12. $2 each off the $1 menu...a small fry and a double cheeseburger and a water. But, if DH goes he has to have a larger fry, a double quarter pounder with bacon, and a large pop bringing the bill up to over $17 or $18 just by putting his meal on the order. UGHH!!! I can go out to eat with family at a fancy resturant and get ice water and small salad with a just a baked sweet potato and keep my meal price under $7. DH has to have the pop of course then the most expensive salmon chicken dish on the menu for like $20! We have salmon and chicken all the time at home! :th I can feed the WHOLE family at home for 3 days at least on $30 or less! But, I guess we have splurg once in a while!

Your DH and mine would get along really well...it is so frustrating sometimes...and he is the only one who ALWAYS has to have a case of pepsi on hand at home at all times...it's the only thing he drinks...grrrrr.

LOL Pam I sure hear you on a DH making the bill go higher.

I am fortunate in a way with Tony not feeling well he is truly cutting out fast food now. I just hate going...lol....I always order a salad at those places BUT Tony can take the bill for the 3 of us up to $15-18 very easy. He wants it all when he gets there..HA HA---but Nicole loves chicken nugget happy meals. What kid doesn't!

I have a bad habit of pricing our eating out meals....drives me crazy to sit there and Tony orders ribs for $18.99 with baked potatoe....Ribs, hmm...ribs, I have like 20 packs in the freezer!!!!!! from our own hogs....KILL ME!!!!! LOL-LOL

but you are right....splurging and not adding up the bill is the way to go sometimes. We do deserve a night for someone else to cook the food right???? that is worth every penny in my book..HA HA---and they do the dishes after..LOL

We eat at home...restaurants are a luxury we only partake in when there is a family gathering like bdays. Otherwise McD is not been visited in a long time..we like to know what we are eating.

We eat at Mickey D's like once a week to every other week. I go to town on Friday's and it is always during lunch time. But, I usually only have one child with me. I have been going to Get Go and getting the gc so I can get my gas points too!! I have been getting the salad for $4.35 to cut out the carbs and sugars becuase of the pregnancy rather than having the fries and double cheeseburger. But, 11 yo still has just a fry and DC...so it ends up being around $6.35 for the two of us. MIL has the rest of the kiddos most of the time so she feeds them and they think that is like eating out because she has all kinds of snacks to go with it.
Or I have been having Subway because Get go has gc for there too. I get the $5 foot long and have that for two meals instead of going to Mickey D's.
