Oh, y'all are making me jealous! And hungry! I woulda traded with any of y'all!

(Except you, Tortoise ... yours sounds yummy but if I eat that on an empty stomach, I am guaranteed a migraine!)

I had a chicken leg quarter. Roasted with WAY TOO MUCH salt. They feed us lunch at work, but the kids eat first, and the other stuff was all gone. I did get a slice of white bread with it, but after I got my lunch I smelled the bread and it was ... well, let's just say I'm picky about my bread and I can't eat it if it's not reasonably fresh. Smelling faintly of penicillin and I can't stomach it.

I'm going to have to make something good for dinner, but somehow I'm not hungry yet.

Leftover homemade tagliatelle (egg noodles) fried in butter and covered with salt and pepper. YUMMMMM. My brother and I used to fight over fried egg noodles when my mom made it. It's still one of the simplest, yummiest comfort foods ever.

Ug, busy with repairman/neighbor, and his truck in my driveway attracted others to stop by. So I just had a half a cheese sandwich and a couple more ounces of the cheese. I sure made up for it at dinner. I put a couple of our pastured chickens in the Dutch oven before going to work along with onions, garlic, scallions, rosemary, S&P, and a quart of homemade chicken broth. DH made acorn squash and spinach while I fed the goats. Loaded with butter.

*Contented sigh*

Oh, and the woodstove is fixed and back up and running just in time for single digits and sub-sub-zero wind chills!
