The weirdest is home-canned celery, and liquor.

Ever try sprouting it? I hear it's great that way.Corn Woman said:Chia seed 5 lbs. and now I need to find other uses for it besides cookies.
No, as plain celery diced and canned. We have a little bit of liquor but not near enough.k15n1 said:As in chuttney?BarredBuff said:I have a lot of stuff in our pantry. I have three different setups for all of our preps.

Interesting idea, BB. And how are the results? Obviously the crunch is gone, but how is it otherwise? Have you used the canned celery, and if so, how? I often have part of a head of celery left over, and am interested in another way (other than drying) for saving it.BarredBuff said:No, as plain celery diced and canned. The crunch is gone; however, the taste is there. We use it in quick homemade chicken noodle soup, chicken casserole, or anything that would require celery. It is handy for sure. I can it in half pint jars.ORChick said:Interesting idea, BB. And how are the results? Obviously the crunch is gone, but how is it otherwise? Have you used the canned celery, and if so, how? I may have to try that. I've been dehydrating or freezing mine.BarredBuff said:The crunch is gone; however, the taste is there.
