Well, its not in my pantry but I have pure beef tallow in my fridge. Its for the pemmican that I still haven't gotten around to making yet... :/
Other than that, we're pretty normal too. I hope to be less normal some day! :p

Chia seed 5 lbs. and now I need to find other uses for it besides cookies.
Ever try sprouting it? I hear it's great that way.
Never thought of that but I will give a shot. I get this image in my head of a chia pet, but I do love sprouts of any kind.

Some different things that we all store. Our pantry and store room are one and the same. That helps us keep things in the "rotation'" and use what we store.

we have a lot of nails and screws (we buy them at the farm store on sale for .10 cents each.) and several 5 gal jugs of wine brewing. and other wine bottled on the shelf. (if we run out of food we can still get drunk)

My neighbor has a mulberry tree - I've been threatening for years to make wine from the berries. Wonder if it'd be any good?

Anyway,,, strange things in my pantry? Hmmmm... I'll be darned if I can think of anything weird, except maybe the 5 lbs (!) of whole black peppercorns. Not that the peppercorns are weird - but DH kinda gets carried away...

oh wow - that sounds awesome! I have got to learn how to do this! As soon as we finish butchering pigs - wine is my next project!
