Lori, you gotta try the spaghetti squash. They're great! I sub them for pasta all the time. I bet your kids would have fun with them too!

I could eat my weight in sushi! :D
Ditto, although I've never tried eel. Don't plan to either!
I just remembered one of my third grade students was giving me a hard time just last week because I've never tried guava! In our school it's usually the kids who've never eaten anything but chicken nuggets and hot dogs, and this kiddo's teasing me about guave! (She spends her summers in Puerto Rico and has tried lots of stuff I'm sure I haven't! Neat kid!!)

Anyone a fan of Pho?
I keep seeing it on foodie travel shows, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet. It sounds pretty good, though. :)

Oh, I miss that! Where we lived in the south San Francisco Bay Area we had ethnic restaurants of all sorts within walking distance. The pho place was great! A good, cheap, filling lunch. Then we moved to (more or less) rural Oregon. There are many good reasons for being where we are, and we don't regret the move at all ... but we do miss the restaurants. I have expanded my ethnic cooking repertoire but haven't got into Vietnamese yet.

Pickled pigs feet I have not nor will I EVER try. They look disgusting. I'll give those to my MIL. She likes them.

Want to try- some cheeses left to try, more types of wine, gingko nut, Raw milk, truffle mushrooms, burdock- had the tea and it was fine, Kohlrabi, cherimoya, jujubes, dragonfruit

wont be trying- Kimchi would be very hard to get past the nose.
I'm vegetarian- so I wont be trying any new ( to me ) meats.

HA!!!! Kimchi..... Its not bad, not at all.....

I don't like the fish stocked based stuff, but the veggie stock stuff, bring it in by the pot full....

I still hate Limburger cheese and brussel sprouts....

I never tried making kimchee but I do know a mommason that has some pretty good stuff back in virginny.

Korean BBQ I can make pretty good....

I ate them mostly as a kid. Didnt seem to do much damage. Cept my boobs are small, but that I think was a genetic malfunction. ;)
Feed them to a man, and you will find out the effect ;) Nough said ;)
Hmmm been to many a branding where they were served, eaten them, and been all day with the coyboys that also ate them, never noticed any effect. ;) Testosterone must just get digested like any lipid, it had to be given by injection when it's needed as a drug although recently inhaled and transdermal have both been tested for lower doses, and a newer coated tablet for delayed release late in the gut.

DH and I enjoy eating new things. We have a habit of trying to find something we have never eaten before each time we are grocery shopping. When we go to the big town and hit the markets that have ethnic sections or just huge fruit and vegy sections it's easy, but not so much anymore at the local spots.

My hubby loves kimchi, but I have to tell him to eat that outside. Haven't had limburger yet, but I love Brussels sprouts.
