So @Mini Horses you use pre cooked rice?? I just don't think it is as creamy. I could be wrong my family like the cooked rice in milk and sugar the best but it takes about an hr to make at the end u add vanilla. It's really good

Yes, pre cooked....leftover from a meal. The starches in the rice help thicken it. Plus the cornstarch. Mainly, it's fast & tasty. I only feed me -- so I can do this and enjoy it in small batches. My milk is normally fresh goat, so good cream. If not milking, I use canned evap with a little water to thin it some. Add some spice is desired...cinnamon or such. Think rice with thick gravy for consistency. Cool longer, thickens as water evaporates.

The pan type in oven is delish...dryer and different consistency. Great taste. But in summer, in a pan on stove top gets it done.

We had Italian beef on kaiser rolls and shaved brussels sprouts salad on paper plate.

FB surprised me with her kaiser rolls, because they have fancy marks on the top. She said she used a razor to make the marks on top. It's mighty fancy if you ask me.

tonight was very unfancy, but i started with a Frog (which is like a Turtle but made with almonds instead of pecans) as a quick fix to hold me over until i could get the can of spaghetti-os open. i don't mind eating them cold right out of the can. dinner prep less than a minute total. yep, that's what i felt like doing tonight. but also there was the issue of the countertops and tables and chairs all being varnished this morning and so not much space to work with for food prep, but really that's not an excuse because i'd have done the same anyways. :) sometimes i just want quick and easy and also predictable. the bowl of cereal and some yogurt this morning don't last long when you're outside and busy.

last night was some rescued green pepper chunks on top of the stuffed pepper caserole i pulled from the freezer. a quart container of that is good for three meals so i had some more for breakfast. :)

when cleaning up yesterday's garden there were some long tapered green peppers that were hiding under the leaves and didn't get damaged by the frosts so they were worth bringing in.
