Oh my son had his first home grown friend egg for lunch yesterday. We adopted two silkies two days ago, and the beauties laid the following morning (and today too) Our other chicks aren't laying yet... so it was sort of our "first egg"! (not the chicks though)

I'd never seen an 8yo enjoy an egg so much! It was fun!

Lunch today is probably tuna. tons of work getting ready for market tomorrow

Yesterday for lunch I had a meatball sub from sub-way.
That doesn't sound very self-sufficient!! ;)

I had a turkey& lettuce and WW bread. Hot tea, watermelon (chicks got the rinds) and some pretzels.

We had "momway" subs today. Just like subway.. but better! The kids love these!
