I can't imagine being without this group. If I lost my internet, I'd be spending a lot of my time at the library;)
I don't always write on here, but I read through the posts.
It is just nice knowing you all are here.
I am thankful for the kind persons on here. I am thankful for the generous persons on here.
for the people who pray together and for each other, for the people who are outraged, the advice offered, the different opinions (and we know they are opinions), for the diversity, for our connectedness. the artists, the crafters, the inventers, the farmers, the newbies, the adventurers - ready to try something new, the geeks, the nerds, the religious and the atheists and everything in between.

I have reached out to some of you and have connected with others. Some of you have reached out to me.

This is my extended family.

Very true Denise! There isn't just one favorite member. I feel as though I have a connection, in one way or another, to each and every one of you.

I think I'm the oldest one in this group, but so many of you seem older to me because of the wealth of knowledge and wisdom you have. I love Bee for her "Down-to-earthiness", free for her nutritional wisdom (and goat knowledge), OFG for her wit and farm lessons, Modern Pioneer for his strength and soft heart, Wildsky for her crafty talents, Quail for her crazy poultry habits (yes, it's an addiction, Quail), Big Brown Horse because she feels like an old trusted friend, Abi for her off-the-wall wit, Wifezilla for her low-carb info (I have to admit I was kinda afraid of Wifezilla at first, but either I've gotten braver or Wifey has mellowed.), Blackbird - I'd love to adopt you - your knowledge is astounding, Barred Buff - I don't quite know you well enough yet, but you seem wise beyond your years. And for those I didn't mention - I love you all. I've learned so much from all of you and even though I'm nowhere near you in living SS, I'm crawling my way there slowly and steadily.

Everybody. I don't care for the idea of a popularity-contest poll, but even if I did, I'd still say everybody. And I really do mean it. Even people who only post a few times, add their own thing to the discussion, and not-infrequently bring information and viewpoints that we wouldn't have had otherwise. That's really important.

If I had to pick one person though, it would be a no-brainer: Rob (Nifty) for creating the site in the first place! :) It is EVER so much better than trying to have these sorts of discussions on BYC, and I am *totally not* dissing BYC which I like very much in its own way.
