Supposed to be partly cloudy- but the cloud must be stuck over me. Rain rain rain all day without a break. Not even a patch of snow left.
Boy- I complain about the snow, complain about the rain- and if I get too much of it, I worry about no rain.
Oh oh- I just realized the depth of my problem- I'm complaining about complaining........................

-1 and a bit windy.

We had a massive wind storm yesterday, it was like a hurricane outside. Blew over power poles, etc.

Our power was out all day until 3AM this morning.

WE are getting our first REAL snow...if the wind don't blow it all away! :celebrate :weee It's so pretty and violent and almost surreal how the snow comes billowing off the mountains like smoke, obscuring the mountains and even the houses....like being in your own private snow globe! :D Winds from every direction are causing snow-nadoes everywhere!

One time, when I was a teenager, the winds blew great strips of snow across the hay fields. They rolled up and looked just like the round bales of hay...same size and all! It was fascinating and I've never seen it happen since. That was before there ever were roundbales, I believe...at least not in MY area!

We had that storm too, power outages all over from what I hear. Ironically since we bought a generator 2 years ago we have not had a single outage that lasts more than an hour...hubby says we won't lose power anymore...murphey's law. Do you have a generator? Go buy one, you'll never have to use it LOL!

Nope no generator LOL, unfortunately though we'd need to buy two, for the barn and house, barn has its own panel.

can't afford one right now anyway!

our longest outage was like 18 hours!

turning colder now.
we had fab sunny warm days the last few...very lucky.
but possible ice tomorrow with the rain coming???
no ice, no ice, no ice...chant with me OK!

High 50s and low hi 20s at night....not bad actually.

Jan / Feb are our cold months. Still nothing compared to you guys. March/April is always super windy.....other than a little inconvenience in winter I have it made in the shade compared to you snow bunnies!

6 inches of snow yesterday. Cold and breezy today. Chickens and ducks were happy to stay inside.
