Raining, and gonna rain allday and night, so what little snow we did get is gone and it will be a sheet of ice by Friday. Right now it's hovering around freezing.

it's been snowing since 1am, and we have almost 2ft of snow on the ground, and now our truck, after finally digging ourselves out to mail something in town, is stuck at the bottom of the hill near the chicken coop because i stupidly thought it'd be a great idea to try and get it back up to the house, clearly NOT a good idea.
Honey--if it weren't for hubbie's job, I'd be back up north where the snow falls freely in a heartbeat. And girl--you need to get 4wd. We've dealt with 6 ft of snow and never been snowed in or stuck ever. Except for the time hubby got his Polaris Ultra stuck in 6 ft of snow--that sucker is the heaviest snowmachine ever, and it was hard work getting it back on top of the snow w/o having it sink back in.
Our truck is 4wd lol, but you cannot underestimate the hill by the chicken coop, it is a black diamond and a half, steep hill on a tight bend. We'd get a snowmobile but the money is tight, and it's not in the budget, plus an ATV would be more worth our cash here, and still... not in the budget :( Also, my brother wouldn't legally be allowed to ride it off property or anything, he's only 13. And since all number of things can happen on a farm, Kevin being able to get into town is a big priority. We've parked the truck down the end of the driveway, I swear I'm going to get pretty fit walking to it every day!

Rain, rain and more rain. But we need it. We are 13 inches behind for the year.

Ya know, we rarely (thank goodness) get ice storms, or even a good snow :( .

Its "SNOWING". I know for those of you who get this on a regular basis, "Big Deal". Central Mississippi just does not get this often enough for it not to be a big deal though.

Of course it will all be gone within a few minutes but so far its really cool and I get a Snow Day.
