One more thing to obsess over.

I actually am a LollyChops stalker. So I've known about these for awhile. I love Our Best Bites. They have really good ideas that are really yummy and very practical for real families. I'm thinking these would be great for my kids to make for people. I'm thinking even my FIL could deal with...

I can't remember how it was spelled, but my first OB was pronounced Dr. Quack. I now see a midwife.

    VickiLynn - Finding The Balance

Me too! Me too! But we love radishes here, and always plant way more than we could possibly eat and I just need something to do with them. Last year my second son't garden consisted of corn and radishes. He really likes them.

    Murphy's Egg Law

I'm not sure what the laws are in Idaho. We sell for cash to co-workers and people at church. Though technically as I understand it, the law here is that it has to be from our property and under a certain amount per week. Otherwise we need a license. Since we sell under ten doz eggs a week I...

    Cooking show "facts"...

I can't convince my nine-year-old son we should go back on whole milk. Funny thing is, when we had it in the house it was all he drank. And this is the same kid that is begging for a milk cow. I wonder if he thinks milk cows just squirt out 2% milk. If we could I'd rather get one that gave...

    Murphy's Egg Law

I got seven one day last week and seventeen yesterday. We usually end up with more than we have customer for though. The customers appreciate knowing that they can call last minute and usually get 3-5 dozen eggs, even if some of them are (horror) a week to a week and a half old. When we get...

    sunscreen

My solution to sunscreen - is clothes! I wear lightweight cotton, long sleeves and jeans throughout the spring and the beginning of summer. In my family skin cancer is not an if, it's a when, so sunscreen is a must on really hot days when my skin is exposed, but I just wear long sleeves if I...

    Hello From Bulgaria

HI! My husband lived in Bulgaria in the mid-90's for a few years. He said it was a very interesting experience. He loved the people and the culture very much. He'll be happy to hear that someone has from there has joined us!

    On-The-Go Snacks?

If it's just two hours then cheese should be just fine, especially if you put it in bigger chunks. I love me some cheese.

What should I have in my car?

I have a full on pharmacy in the car. ;) Chewable children's motrin, chewable children's anti-histimine, a childrin's epi-pen, (guess what our biggest concern is?), a whole arsenal of band-aids, guaze, instant ice-packs, etc. I've also got my personal medications in there. I go through it...

    Refreshments for canning class

I think if you have to serve something perhaps you should focus on showing what you can do with all of that canned goods. So many of us just eat it straight out of the jar instead of using our canned goods as ingredients to make other foods. If you make something out of something from your...

    vaccinations?

I'm all of a sudden really grateful for my pediatrician. She is really great about the whole vaccination thing. I know my gf didn't vaccinate her daughter at all until she was three and now she's had a total of I think two shots. I actually do vaccinate, but will only do two shots at a time...

    Is a 1/2 acre enough?

Also make sure you know exactly where the setbacks are for the wetlands. If you want to build any permanant out-buildings you might not be able to because of those, or even make substantial changes to your own home if the setbacks have changed since it was built. The setbacks on our property...

    Children's Garden

My kids start out all gung-ho, but by the end of summer aren't so thrilled with taking care of their gardens. I think they've figured out that we pay them to pull weeds out of the big garden, but we don't pay them to pull weeds out of theirs. Oh, and they also really like to go on mole hunts...

    Children's Garden

So, we're getting ready to get our children's garden together. I asked them all what they wanted to put into it. They have a rather large raised bed that the four of them share. Last year we seperated it so they could do their own thing. This year they all want to plant watermelon, which...

    YO............get

I love Wifezilla. She takes the guilt out of everything. Bring on the cream. :love Seriously though, my grandparents put half-n-half on their cereal every morning for like eighty years. Their doctors said that they had the hearts of thirty year olds.

    YO............get

I use two percent and it turns out just fine. I've used whole milk in the past and honestly I can't tell the difference between the two. But then, I really don't taste much difference in the two milks either. My husband says I have the worst taste buds ever. Everything tastes good to me.
