We always pay ours with a check as soon as they are done. Just ask them what it costs, usually about $60-$85, and then tell them where you want them to take the carcass. Easy-peasy. There will still be a little mess left on the ground that you might want to clean up before your daughter gets...

But I have been known to string 5-50 cord across my living room in a zig-zag pattern sometimes because the power has gone out at rather inopportune moments. Gotta love the Pacific NW!
We are currently buying a home for my FIL to live in. I knew I wanted it because they used things like an old tub and even old boots in their landscaping design. My kind of people! ;)
Here's a picture of the two so far. One of them is hiding in the back. Notice the extra egg? I've actually caught this particular hen moving eggs from one nest box to another before by holding them "between her knees" and scooting along the edge. Perhaps she thought that the four I gave her...
My husband went to let my chickens out this morning and look what he found peeking out from under one of my buffs!
I just hope the other three eggs come peeping out too! :D
