I culled the doe, she was not well. I did slaughter two of the youngsters, they did not show any symptoms of being ill, and their organs were all healthy so they got cooked and ate... I also have a mature buck that seemed to be getting sick, but looks like he might pull through.
These rabbits...
After searching around a little bit it looks like it's a very common problem. The older doe that is sick is too far gone, I will put her down, I tryed to contact my small animal vet, but he has been out sick. Since most rabbits seem to at least be carriers, I guess it would be ok to eat the...
I just wanted to chime in and say please do lots of research and talk to several doctors before going for a hysterectomy. The thing with endo is that some of tissue from your uterus as probably "leaked" out of your fallopian tubes and "coated" some of your organs, this causes the tissue to be...
I'm on BYH too, but find it difficult to get any type of timely answers so I'm hoping y'all can help. I have had terrible luck with the health of my rabbits. I got them in November, everything was fine until March, when one got bloat and I had to put her down. Now it seems that two of the...
In spite of life's many challenges I've decided (for today at least) to look only at the good things mother nature has done lately. We've got 3 new babies at our house. AND another broody is sitting on 4 eggs (was 5 but one of them was crushed after having deeloped for about 2 weeks :( )...
I love this thread, I'm so excited. This is something that I've wondered since I got my rabbits last year. I have read a teeny bit about it, but honestly was kind of scared to go for it. Now I'm just going to dive in. How long would y'all recommend the transistion take? would two weeks be...
On saturday he was in Plano, I had been planning for weeks to go hear him talk... I was stuck at home with some sort of stomach virus - I am still stuck at home...
That's my dopey doggy, he is not very photogenic, he gets that from me.
We live south of Fort Worth. I want to move to a much smaller area, hopefully we will in the next couple of years.
:yuckyuck Yoga is totally out of the question for me!!!!
I really appreciate y'alls responses. I will keep at it, and maybe one try it will just kind of work  .
At least I know that there is no wrong way, and that it's something that I really can't mess up.
I stopped eating gluten in January - i've been feeling good ever since. I don't have any recipies, I just don't eat gluten. I don't eat much of the gluten free products, but I do get the rice noodles occasionally, and they are good. The only caution is to undercook them somewhat. They get...
I know that it's a practice makes perfect type of thing, but I'm awful at it. I have had some challenges in life lately and my anxiety level is pretty much through the roof. I try to turn off my brain, but it doesn't work. I'll picture a beautiful meadow with flowers and the like for a good...
So I think the jalapenos were successful. I burped them today. I started some mustard and pickles today. We'll see what happens! I broke down and bought Nurishing Traditions, I cannot put it down!!
The bunnies are great! Thanks for asking. I keep worrying that the coyotes will get wind of them and try to get into where they are, but so far they haven't (knock on wood).
The weather has been crazy, we had terrible storms yesterday, then today the temperature dropped about 20 degrees in...
Well, we got a pryenese (sp?) yesterday. A young female. She has not been socialized at all, so a little skittish, but seems to be a very sweet girl. I'm super glad that I've quit my job now because we'll have our hands full training her. She's been raised around chickens and goats, I just...
I joined netflix to rent it, it's on the way, but I ended up buying it  . It's only $10.00 and hopefully I'll be able to lend it out to those who are interested.
