Happy Together
These are off the top of my head. Who's the guy (still alive) that sang all those songs.....I saw him at an...
I found some Orange Roughy on clearance at Safeway. Haven't seen it in many years. So I looked it up. Its been overfished and contains too much mercury for kids/preg women.
These two 70 yr olds don't care about that for one meal. Going to make soft fish tacos tonite.
Mother's daddy raised turkeys in his Philadelphia back yard during the early 30's. He'd lost his job at Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) as an engineer for three years. Mother hated those turkeys. They were the dumbest things ever, and if I ask Mother (94.5 yrs now) about them, she will launch into how...
@Alaskan Saw this article in my FB feed.
During overflights on March 7 and 11, AVO measured significantly elevated volcanic gas emissions from Mount Spurr volcano, Alaska. The increase in gas emissions confirms that new magma has intruded into the Earth’s crust beneath the volcano and indicates...
Hubs meandered into my office this morning. He said maybe there are a few parts I could take off that refrigerator - you know, like the handles. They might be good for something someday.
I said Oh no, I'm not goin.....
OH!! I said. Maybe I can use the drawers somewhere. Maybe the huge flat...
Our refrigerator went out a couple of days ago. It was built in May of 2016. LG four door fancy ss one. We had already fixed it once when the fan iced up. This time, we all watched utubes and son and hubs tried and tried. No luck.
I went online and found out there was a class action lawsuit in...
I "gleaned" a whole bunch of huge almost sprouting golden beets from the Food Bank food waste bin outside. (remember I work there 2x a week). They threw them all out cus "they are no good".
Well, I said they are good. I grabbed as many as I could reach down in the recycle bin and brought them...
Hubs and I went to Lowes. He got lumber and I got dirt. Its so expensive and contains so much bark. Oh well. Even tho I planted my gladiolas deep (like three inches) nearly three years ago, many of them have migrated upwards and their crowns are showing. I'm not digging them down again, so I put...
Last nite was leftovers, plunked into a fry pan, add some half and half and left over green beans. Saute up. Side was home canned quart sweet potatoes from '21 with a splash of OJ and 1/4 C of brown sugar. YUMMY!!
I bought a pork shoulder blade roast for $12. I got three quarts of meat out of it and about 3 C of yummy slow cooked shreds that I simmered with rice- making two meals for the three of us.
Used up a 5 lb bag of older russets - sliced them 1/2" thick. Made my own cream/cheese sauce. Toss with cubes of ham. Bake in oven at 400 for 45 minutes. Top casserole with 2 year old parmesan that was in the freezer. YUMMY!!!
I finally sprayed all my trees. Sorta.
I found two bottles with spray handles in my stash. They all had estate sale prices on them. So I squirted away. Not thorough, but I did empty two larger bottles of stuff, so that I have more room to see and know what I already have.
It'll do.
I have no idea what mine is. On a hill slope which once was covered by fir trees. Back in the early 1900's, someone stripped our property free of all trees. We are slowly adding back native trees. We have natural springs seeping down a hill above us where the previous owners took out 14 huge...
I see tilapia on clearance at Wallys every so often. Its been a few years since I have used it. With prices the way they are rising, maybe its time to test it out again.
