Nothing is ever going to match the texture of bread, but if you can get something with good flavor that holds together without using flour, it usually works for people. It ends up more like a quickbread and people can relate to that :D

It might be time to try some google-fu. There are sites that let you calculate the cost of running an appliance based on the power source and the watts used by the appliance. Start with the dryer and go from there.
