Be sure to pick your pears a couple days before you can them up, they'll soften just enough to be exactly the right texture when canned--they'll keep a bit of that firmness but be tender :)

Cool that your cat training program is going so well, how long has the process taken so far? Definitely keep us up to date!

Lol, just like any project right? All sorts of interruptions as life gets in the way of plans! No rush, just curious how long it might take. Our cat is 12 years old and pretty set in her ways, so I don't think we'll bother with her at this point, but I've always been intrigued by the toilet training thing. How do you get around the cat wanting to drink out of the bowl? We've kept our toilet lids down since we got cats because of that--and the big splashy mess they always left all over the seats.

Sounds like you had a great summer (weekends away!) and you are getting some quality (albeit busy) time with the grand babies! :)

I was wondering how it was going w/toilet training the cat. Glad you posted an update.

My hubby's too attached to paper and plastic for me to get rid of it. We'd save so much money if he didn't go thru a ton of paper towels and paper plates. :/

Happy 3 year anniversary! :hugs

My mom has been living out here for just over 5 years and is now finally getting pictures up on her walls.

I have stuff I never unpacked when we moved in-and it's been over 20 years! I plan on sorting thru it all and probably getting rid of the majority of it.

I understand getting to the 3 year mark and not preparing to move. It feels weird when that has been your whole life! We have been in this house 8 years and I have pictures I never hung and boxes i didn't unpack too! I just tell myself I will get it done after this final move we are making! :D And I'm not going to hang curtains either--I love wide open windows! Congrats on the 3 year anniversary!

Congrats on the 3 year anniversary, I know how good it feels to stop for a while and put down roots--spent my entire childhood moving every few years and love the fact that my kids have grown up in one town and in only two different houses. Have fun continuing to make your house feel like your forever home!
