Valentine's Day is mine and DH 15th anniversary. The following week on the 21st is his birthday. I surprised him by having flowers delivered to him at work Friday with a card-"15 years ago I turned your life upsidedown. Congratulations, you made it." He was thrilled. Earlier in the week, we went to WalMart where he heavily admired a watch, so I flopped out my checkbook and bought it for him and told him Happy Birthday. He is worth every bit of it.

He made me a card on a manila folder. It is a pen/ink artistic beauty. It is 15 hearts superimposed on each other. The 1st one is tiny and the hearts get bigger to the 15th one. There is all kinds of scroll work around the hearts and he wrote HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and I LOVE YOU in colored letters. Each heart is sifferent colors. He has been working on it for a couple of months at work. It is beautiful. I love his cards.

I'm using a day of vacation for his birthday and we are going to goof off all day and just spend time together. He is going to buy me some new blue jeans. Valentine's day is special to us because of our anniversary. Sometimes we just have to give each other a hug, sometimes we can spend on each other.

My fiance is all grumbly about Valentine's Day this year. :(

I made his favorite treat - peanut-butter-chocolate covered potato chips. I bought them from a chocolatier last year and he loved them. (Too bad the bag was so small!) I just filled up a small serving dish with them. A feathered heart and a heart-shaped card holder finish it off.

I gotta get my butt going and check the oil in my car and take car of the rabbits. Oh yeah... clean the kitchen and hide all traces of peanut butter and chocolate. He had better NOT get home from work early today!

My hubby's gift is a sick wife and a sink overflowing with dirty dishes :(

His gift to me is that he stayed home from work to take care of me :)

Thanks for answering for me BarredBuff...

I will not be on line much the next week or so... making three aprons, embroidering dish towels etc, for my cousin's wedding present.

I'll post photos when I get them done....
