Yea we're in the experiementing phase now too. We're having a serious food crises in our house right now because we can't rely on the old bagged meals as a standby anymore. It's really hard now but in the long run it'll be so worth it. I feel better already overall and when I eat the same old junk I used to eat all the time I can REALLY feel the difference.

So what kind of smudge stick did u send ur niece? (Was it ur niece? I need to go back and check my blog :hide )

My friend sent me this article ... another autistic used food to "break out" of autism :D

So... good news bad news....

Bad news is seizures took a day off work for me.

Good news is for a bad seizure episode, it's a) the first really bad I've had in a long time so the diet is working and b) not NEARLY as severe as my severe ones used to be.
* tosses some strawberries in Abi's direction *

Make extras and freeze it. Make big batches of favorite spice blends like fajita for quick use. Freeze meat in marinades so you can thaw and cook....

I am sure my cooking has helped every phase of my life. It is the only place I can easily accept change and experiment, so it gives me a starting point on creativity elsewhere. I try to view sewing as a recipe more than a pattern. I adore patterns in everything for dissection and world understanding, but sewing patterns are somewhat else lol. You cannot just exchange bits of patterns and keep the same pattern. You cannot throw 8 into a prime number list, for crying out loud. But recipes are designed for adaptation.

It was a mountain sage. Yep, niece. I adopted her mom as my sister.

Thanks Jamie! Mmmmmm strawberries....

I'd like to start up cooking lessons again with my son (14) but he's still in a violent and suicidal stage right now. We had to take everything sharp from everywhere and put them in my locked bedroom. Hope to restart cooking with him soon. He does a great gf mac-n-cheese but doesn't like experimenting, or more than a couple of ingredients per dish. Exception: pepperoni pizza with extra cheese.

For the most part, tho, he eats really healthy. Unprocessed foods except for gf pepperoni pizza once a week, and string cheese. I think he might wrestle you for those strawberries, especially if they are ripe but not mushy!

Yeh. Kids hit that at 14 without any mental illness. For me, it was trying to figure out if I was actually alive, so I had to see blood. To calm myself, I banged my head into walls (typical autistic). I got really mad when people called it self injury or suicidal ideation. You have to exist to die and I wasn't sure I did, yet! Humph!!!

There's a lot of prep work you can do and then he can get really creative with putting it together :)

Met a friend from work :D She can attest to everyone that I really AM that hyper and spazzy. *giggles* My head is mildly pounding and I think the whole back of my skull is bruised from tightness, but otherwise doing okay. So I'll be good to make it through work today. Next two days off.

SO!! I really want to work on a line of patterns that combine Vickie and Heian!! Late 1800s Europe and America, and 794-1192 Japan. So, I'm thinking fine linens and silks, in multiple layers, of kimono that, instead of lying straight, flare out into the victorian fullness. Obi tied so the the bow flows over the bustle. Stuff like that :D I'm going to print out some pictures and start sketching. I've been wanting to do a gothic-heian anyway. 12 layers of fine silks and laces in red-black-purple kimono :D With a black raw silk over coat. Very period style with utterly "gothic lolita" fabrics. So this ties right in with that. Corsets over kimono. :)

omg. I just made a shopping list...

fat bombs
butter
cream
goat kefir
feta
olives
pinon nuts
cream cheese
watermelon
bacon
parmesan cheese...

other than the watermelon... everything is fat. *giggles*

oh yeh. cocoa powder.

Pretty much, I want greek meatballs, and lots of smoothies.

Maybe chicken salad? I can get more chicken and ummmm... cucumber and broccoli and a soft cheese stuff... and olives.... and more nuts....

Actually I have a full chicken. I can roast it with southwestern spices and chop it up.

Productive day!!!

While breakfast cooked, I cleaned the entire kitchen. Including wiping all the pantries (I bought 4 extra pantries lol) and organizing them. Cleaned the microwave and took it off the counter and scrubbed the counter.

I do still have IN the fridge to do >.>

One litter box is scrubbed and drying. I can't do the second til the first is refilled.

Then, I have sewing explosions to put up so I can vacuum. Then clean the bathroom.

Then I have a salmon dinner to make.

And that's pretty much it.
