Well, by faerie tale rules.... I'm the lost princess changeling child from the shadow realms and if I can find my true love, we will both be transported back.

Oh but surely the princess who felt the pea was no ordinary woman!
I mean, you felt a cat hair :ep

We have long thought I have a slight sensory processing disorder, because I cannot handle uneveness.
Like if one of my socks is sitting a little bit lower then the other...life stops and I have to fix it :th

Now, I have a BIL with Aspergers (sp?) and I cannot handle being around him. He is "undiagnosed" so his family never did anything to help him figure out basic social stuff.
That part is not so bad. If that was all, I would enjoy his comapny just fine.

However, its the fact that they just allowed him to lie about anything and everything that drives me insane. Worse even is the fact that he knows he is doing it, and flies off the handle if you confront him about it :hit

I question the Asperger diagnosis then. It has been my experience that people on the Autism spectrum simply cannot lie. They aren't wired that way. Do you concur Abi?

I would suspect another behavior disorder - for example conduct disorder. Look that up and see what you think.

Could be, but we can look at the list and check every stinkin item on it!

As to the lying stuff, a typical conversation would go like this.

Friend- I work at X store
BIL- Oh, I worked there a long time.
Friend- Really?
BIL- I was the manager!

Actually, never worked there, or even knew the place existed.

Latest? He has a job!!!! It starts in Jan. He will be building trusses at a plant!
And they have the place almost built!

Guess what? This plant does not even exist, except that there are plans to build one in a few years.
And he has zero experience in such a job.

So, since he "has a job" he does not look for work.
Also, he was in the reserves, and they just kept him at a kitchen help level. but to listen to him, you would think he had been in the foxholes in Iraq, and he was the one that found Saddam.

:th FS, maybe you are right. I don't know. He is the one person in my life that I want to :smack and that is not me!

I once worked with a lady who lied about everything. Even if the truth was better for her she would make up a whopper lie. And then remember it and repeat it several weeks later. We used to make up topics just to see if she had "had it", "been treated for it", etc. We had her thinking she had prostate cancer once.

LOL If he lies really BADLY, could still be aspie. Especially if his family taught him that social skill to get out of doing things. We can be taught to sorta lie a bit. We do it badly and by rote. LOL.

But FF, I do concur. Spectrum are honest. It's one of the social marks against us. If you cannot lie well by toddlerhood you are f*cked for life. I read an article about it.

Auntie can tell you how good Max and I are at lying hhahahahaha.

We had her thinking she had prostate cancer once.

That's frakkin awesome.

My mom lies all the time. She gets weirdly high pitched when she does. So does my friend's wife. It's annoying. If my mom gets all squee about something and gushes, she hates it.

My oldest daughter lies. First thing out of her mouth usually. When called on it she gets so mad and defensive. We are usually at odds because of it. I hate lying. I don't understand why people lie. It makes them look weak and stupid in my view. With "E" she really has no reason to lie. She just does. :barnie

How true!

I know in my BILs case, the family just let it happen, cause he was the baby and also because they had no clue why he was different.
