Yeah...I'm always an "independent contractor" or "self employed" for a while too. In other words...I did evrything I do every day anyway, and THAT is a JOB!FarmerJamie said:They are looking for gaps in your work history where you basically did nothing. Even if you are unemployed through no fault of your own, they're looking to see how you filled the void.abifae said:If a job says "list all your jobs for the last ten years" do they MEAN that?
Or do they mean "list the jobs you put on your resume" ???
halp halp!
Once I had a 6 month gap of no work in my career field where I sold firewood and painted home interiors - I was an "independent contractor".

So Jamie... fill in all the blanks?
"went crazy for five years"
"went crazy for two years"
"proud that the crazy gap was only 1 year"

Honestly Abi..I would say something to the effect of I had been ill to the point of disabled and had to take time to get better.abifae said:Someone tell me exactly what to actually write.

I have nothing but gaps. I work 12-18 months, freak, go 1-5 years without working, and work another 12-18 months.
