So you come here and say that with NO pictures!?!?!
I know..I'm sorry! I was in a rush to get to work this morning. Between milking, bottle feeding, etc it's all I can do to get out the door to get to work by 7! I'll definitely take pics this evening.

I supposedly had buff eggs and slate eggs. One poult was yellow, so I'm assuming it's a buff. One looked buff, but when I looked closer it had some gray coloring close to the skin. I have no clue if they're true or crossed or what. That's what you get when you buy at an auction!

Excuse me while I pass out.....

OK. Let's go through that. Did you say you did ALL that and was AT WORK by 7 AM? Or is that PM? Great golly what time do you get up?

Cause I swear I wouldn't be hootin and hollerin if I did all that work before I walked out the door. Nope. It's all I can do to get my behind out of bed at 6 and then I just wish upon a star that I can get myself and little g ready enough to be out of the door by 7:15...

Yep, 7 AM. I'd much rather go in early and get home early because if I didn't go in until 8 I would just sleep later and not be more productive before I left for work anyways.

Here's how my mornings go:

5:30- Wake up time! My sister calls me on the phone which helps us both get out of bed. She gets up early to exercise, I get up early to do chores. :p

5:35-Take the dogs out to potty then come in and feed them

5:45-Shower and scramble to find clean clothes for work and get dressed and presentable, find the kids clothes if they didn't lay them out the day before, sometimes put girlie's hair in pigtails (she can do ponytails by herself)

6:10-6:15-go down to the kitchen and make goat bottles and get the milk pail ready

6:15-6:35-go out and feed baby goats, then feed chickens, then let June the goat out of the pasture so I can feed the sheep while trying to keep goat out of chicken feed (if I forget to latch the chicken gate) and keep goat from coming in and trying to eat sheep grain (if she pushes back in through the gate). Then take June to the barn for feed and milking. Then bring June back to the pasture and feed hay to all.

6:35-6:45ish-filter milk and put in fridge, rinse goat bottles in hot water, scramble to pack a lunch and get out the door for work. Oh yeah, can't forget to tell the kids bye and give DH a kiss! I really should be in the car by 6:40 but sometimes I run a little late!

Again, please excuse me while I pass out..... :th

OK. I'm back. I guess it's not all that different from my morning - it just starts a little earlier. I'm up by 6 and we're out the door by 7:15-7:30. In between is usually me making coffee and lunches, getting showered/dressed, getting little g up and at 'em (he's just like me in the morning....it's been an eye opener!), and then some 'farm stuff' if I feel the need. But I don't work until 8am and get home around 5 - that's when I kick it into high gear. Milking done, feeding done, chores done, dinner done, soap making done...I don't watch much tv!

ETA - don't you only work about 5 min away too? That helps, I'm sure. I've got a 30 min drive that I HATE.

We're both some awesome hard workin' gals! Where's the high 5 smilie?

I work about 18 miles away, which takes about 20-25 minutes depending on whether or not I get stuck behind school buses!

I wish! That would be awesome! But it is an easy drive. No stop signs or stoplights on my way.
