Rio is an awesome dog. He isn't really up to "AKC show Standards" but he is registered. His mom is a titled Senior Hunter, and his sire was working towards a hunt/ retrieve title... that is where Rio gets his energy lol.
The boys built the snowman, we took a pic, then they told Rio to "find it" , so he was digging where they had pointed. . He would jump up to catch snowflakes, snowballs... he played with another dog that showed up, he wrestled with the boys. We were there pretty much all day, and when we left he piled all 105lbs into my 12yr old nephews lap and slept the whole way home (T12 weighs 80lbs soaking wet lol)
LOL Believe me, we don't believe it either. Snow is a rare occurrence, especially for it to stick much less actually accumulate.
This is from today http://www.northescambia.com/?p=37852
He was totally destroying the snowman lol
Deb - that snow was from Feb, nothing has stuck this year, we just had the few flurries.
I was wondering today what my life was like before I was catering to meatie chickens. Food, food, poo on shoes, in shoes etc and more food. There is one pullet that has a stain (something nasty, I'm sure) on her left wing / shoulder. She follows me every step. I am going to have to catch her tomorrow and clean that up so I can't tell her apart from the others on saturday!
I have kind of a nervous anticipation for butchering day. I've grown up cleaning fish and squirrel, even a deer once, but never something I have raised.
The weather is supposed to get back to normal by Saturday - forecast to be 70* and clear. I work overnight shift on Friday, so will be going into D day with the right attitude hehehe.
