First thing I did was make her take off her ridiculous boots and put on something she can walk in and then help me clear out the guest bedroom. Tomorrow, I'll take her to the vet... I mean, to the local clinic and make sure she's healthy and not pregnant or something stupid.
just so's ya know.. i think you are perfect!

and tell us how the pork chops are! great work!
:)
At least I'm not putting her in quarantine for 30 days like the other new chicks... ;-)

The pork chops we had last night. They were *great*. They tasted like...

PORK!

I know, that sounds silly, but most porkchops I've had in years have tasted pretty bland. I'm really looking forward to trying the rest of the stuff we got. And making guanciale from the pork jowl. And pate from the liver.

But then I've gotta figure out what to do with the heart (and I may have the kidneys as well, not sure.) Any suggestions?

I started buying real pork last year and its true - you'll never wanna go back after tasting a home grown hog. Only wish I had the space to raise my own.

So I've taken up "couponing". Trying to save money. I'm treating it as a game - works better for my head. I've managed to save enough for two good bottles of wine. ;-) My favorite bit was paying $75.xx, with $30something savings, plus a $10 coupon for the next trip, so today, I bought $15 worth of stuff for $.61. I win!

I also ran a load of pressure canning - 5 jars of stew beef, 2 jars of chicken taco meat with homemade taco seasoning, 2 jars of homemade vegetable soup in homemade chicken broth, and a jar of stock.

I watered my garden with rainwater from my rain-barrels. And dinner was asparagus and fried eggs.

I'm feeling all virtuous right now... Of course, I would be more virtuous if I actually folded the laundry and put it away... :hide

LOL My sister and I used to shop together and we'd have mini contests to see who saved the bigger percentage.

Since I don't eat junk food, the only thing I can coupon is toilet paper and other household things.

Funny how they don't coupon things worth eating.

Well, they also had coupons on batteries and puffs and first aid stuff... ;)
And water (Dh drinks fizzy water by the liter...) And DS actually *likes* deli meat for lunch sandwiches and cheap pizzas so I got those on coupon... (he'd live on pizza if I let him!) Oh, and asparagus - I got that on a club card special. So yeah - it adds up.
