i really hate dealing with health unsurance companies and after a really bad experience years ago i cancelled mine and haven't been back since. it's risky, but i do have some $ in the bank just in case an expense comes up from health related things. anything big i'm not going to treat and just die so it's just the stuff i can self manage and whatever i can cover with cash payments. some time in the future i may be forced to get back some kind of health insurance because you can't drive in MI without car-insurance and they want you to have some coverage as a part of that and if you don't the auto insurance company might deny you coverage... so... ugh...

national health care system and none of this BS we get today - people shouldn't have to deal with figuring all this out and especially when you're sick and need it the most. too many people get taken advantage of or denied treatments or then bankrupt anyways even if they have it. it all just PO's me ... grrrr!

Third world countries, lucky enough to have rodents & cane or rice fields, take this as their "hunting" season! Yep, fresh meat to eat & dry for later.

That's so sad. Chickens are a better option! 😁
Cane Toads (from USA) were introduced early 1900's to curb the beetles in the sugar cane ... now we have an infestation of C Toads, which are eating everything, even the little tree frogs (non left where we stay in NSW) ... very CLEVER decision makers in our Gvts (not)

Yes, I too took myself off private health cover, because of the price per year, and what they actually cover. I took the risk and that is a decade ago now : )
