i really hate dealing with health unsurance companies and after a really bad experience years ago i cancelled mine and haven't been back since. it's risky, but i do have some $ in the bank just in case an expense comes up from health related things. anything big i'm not going to treat and just die so it's just the stuff i can self manage and whatever i can cover with cash payments. some time in the future i may be forced to get back some kind of health insurance because you can't drive in MI without car-insurance and they want you to have some coverage as a part of that and if you don't the auto insurance company might deny you coverage... so... ugh...

national health care system and none of this BS we get today - people shouldn't have to deal with figuring all this out and especially when you're sick and need it the most. too many people get taken advantage of or denied treatments or then bankrupt anyways even if they have it. it all just PO's me ... grrrr!

Third world countries, lucky enough to have rodents & cane or rice fields, take this as their "hunting" season! Yep, fresh meat to eat & dry for later.

That's so sad. Chickens are a better option! 😁
Cane Toads (from USA) were introduced early 1900's to curb the beetles in the sugar cane ... now we have an infestation of C Toads, which are eating everything, even the little tree frogs (non left where we stay in NSW) ... very CLEVER decision makers in our Gvts (not)

Yes, I too took myself off private health cover, because of the price per year, and what they actually cover. I took the risk and that is a decade ago now : )

Morning!! Been a minute. Let’s see….my house is a mess. I’m late getting dressed. I was so tired yesterday after waking up before daylight and then heading to the city with the newborn and watching 3 of my own grandkids, cooking and cleaning up the kitchen and then feeding them and then coming home with a screaming newborn so when I heard about a proposed fishing trip that was dependent upon me babysitting again in a dirty house…..no thanks 🙏🏾. I understand for work or illness but not for fun. DH informed HG that I wasn’t going to babysit in a dirty house.
So after a few hours of watching kids DH leaves me to trade (and buy) a rooster for 17 day old giant Peking’s from the same people we originally obtained extra Roos from. Apparently they lost their rooster and knew we had the breed they wanted. We lost one baby somewhere along the line. I do love Peking. Great producers.
Here I am playing catch up on dishes and HG finally gets up and after hanging one batch of clothes she is ready to visit a friend. So I remind her if she wants to attend Mass she needs to return by 4:00 and we only have 2.5 days left to get the house cleaned before DH has his first total knee replacement surgery and then people will come into our home to help him. No stress!!
DH is outside making a bunch of noise moving stuff around. Things have been a mess since the snow and I just hope the orchard survived.

Hmmmm...maybe HG needed to be told to stay home & HELP -- not sashay out for good time with friends! That could happen later. You're too soft -- you're not their maid :old kick some butt!!! Make some rules & enforce them. Getting up earlier would be one of first to happen. My house, my rules.
