I thought of a rat terrier too. LOL
I would probably like to have a working barn cat, as our cats are somewhat lazy hunters. I would feed it too, but not the canned stuff or the kibbles.

Well I also thought of something else, what about natrual animal scents like TCP="Tom Cat Pee". You can get gross stuff like that at hunting supply stores or online I think. Just a thought.

That is a good thought, BBH, IMO. When I locked my cat in, I was thinking she would make a mess in the pen, and then I thought it would probably be a good thing.

If you have enough vermin you might not need to feed it, if its a good hunter. We only feed out cats in winter, other than the milk they get twice a day.
They hunt rat, mice, squirrel, chipmunk, gopher, rabbits, birds, all that good stuff!

Yeah . . . I agree BBH. One thing though . . . I read the only natural weasel predator is owls. So would they fear the cat piss?
