I thought of a rat terrier too. LOL

I would probably like to have a working barn cat, as our cats are somewhat lazy hunters. I would feed it too, but not the canned stuff or the kibbles.

 How did I miss the joke? Gah. That is what happens when you are too focused on solving a problem. :/ You miss all the good stuff.

Was just stating a fact!

Good ferral cats are worth their weight in gold! Tame cats just don't have the drive left in them.

Well I also thought of something else, what about natrual animal scents like TCP="Tom Cat Pee". You can get gross stuff like that at hunting supply stores or online I think. Just a thought. :idunno

That is a good thought, BBH, IMO. When I locked my cat in, I was thinking she would make a mess in the pen, and then I thought it would probably be a good thing. :) I'm wondering if the TCP will work?

If you have enough vermin you might not need to feed it, if its a good hunter. We only feed out cats in winter, other than the milk they get twice a day.
They hunt rat, mice, squirrel, chipmunk, gopher, rabbits, birds, all that good stuff!

Yeah . . . I agree BBH. One thing though . . . I read the only natural weasel predator is owls. So would they fear the cat piss?

Blackbird . . . I don't have any fresh milk. :/ Your barn cats are probably very happy. I think I would need to feed mine something, though. Probably not as much as the fat house cats.

I fear cat piss, why wouldn't they?

Seriously, have you been peed on by a cat. EW!

Knowing a weasel, it would probably enjoy it though. You'll just have to kill the sucker.
