Hi, today is first time on this site!!!!!! I love it already...we are in our 70's and as you know the economy doesn't look toooooo good for us so we are doing the self thing as much as possible....milk a cow , chickens , vegetable garden.....now ...how do you ever make soad or toothpaste? need some info on how to use the milk by-products....h e l p .....G I thank you.

My toothpaste was very sucessful (not as I'd like it) but my butter was!

Update time!

Today was a fairly busy day. This morning me and gran (while everyone else was out of the house) staked beans. It took forever but it'll be worth it we have tons of beans out

Then I went and made an organic pesticide. Courtesy of FarmerJamie I just hope it works. I put two TBSP of epsom salts to a gallon of water for potato bug iradication. I hope it works Im gonna check in the morning

I also made bread today and it was AWESOME. I did it differently I added a little more yeast, more flour, and kneaded it more. It rose really high and was sooooo good

Here is my butter, buttermilk and toothpaste pictures...............

Butter is awesome and as is the buttermilk. Toothpaste is okay, it needs some tweaking........

Looks good...well all except that funky blob of toothpaste You really gonna put that inside your mouth? Like, that close to your tongue...as in..where you could TASTE it?!?!

Yeah its not to tasty............its alittle gross. However I have brushed with it and it works extremely well, they feel cleaner and it has a minty after taste. Its not gross after I spit it out

I am not thrilled with the taste on my toothpaste but my teeth feel great and no aftertaste once i rinse so i am keeping it.

I get raw milk. How much cream does it take to make butter. You let the milk sit and separate and keep the cream til you have enough?!?
