I finely have time to breathe! :woot I am now re re re begining my Journal :p

My school year is over, ended on the 5th I believe. Since then my week has been in an uproar. Monday night we got two goats, and Monday I am selling two goats. We just can't do it all. This hit me when I was removing dead meat rabbits (another bad story from my ignorance). If I can't do my current projects right, and keep them running smoothly. I don't need to add one with double the work load. So the goats are a no go. I am not setup enough for them right now, and too much other stuff going on. Whatever they bring at auction I will use to build a suitable grow out hutch for meat rabbits. I need one.

My focus now is to just work on better care for my other projects. I need to clean my chicken coops, and clean up around the barnyard this week. I need to fix the current goat shed to become the shed for the new turkeys and ducks which are in the incubators. The turks and chicks hatch two weeks from last Thursday. :D The ducks hatch three weeks from last Thursday. This year our garden is up to just me and mom because Gran has to have surgery. But she will be back up and running to can up our stuff though :D But for now she can't. I need to make some big repairs to one hutch. Just a long list of stuff...

We did get to can some stuff this week. :D 16 half pints of Strawberry Jam and then 7 quarts of Chicken Stock. Oh and a week from today I leave for Vacation with Dad. So Mom will get to do the bator stuff for the turks while I am gone :fl

Tomorrow we are going out for Mother's Day and to get some new clothes and swim suits.

Toodles!

So sorry to hear the goats didn't work out!:hugs
I know :/ But I'd rather do my going projects right than do a half job on them all. So oh well....

I need to go feed the goats, water the goats and rabbits, then let the birds out.

Maybe in the future, but you're very wise for realizing that you can't handle it now instead of becoming overwhelmed w/the situation.

Happy Mothers Day all you Maternal Ladies out there! :hugs

Today we went to Lexington and ate at Cracker Barrel for Mother's Day. Pretty good, although our homegrown salads are better  We find ourselves doing that when we eat it out, because it don't taste as good as ours. :p Had dinner, then got some clearance clothes for our beach trip with Dad next week. We leave for that on Saturday.

Tomorrow, I have an orthodontist appointment. Then I am going to pick up the barnyard and give the chicks some fresh bedding. After that the goats are going to auction :/ I like em but I just ain't got room right now.

Now I have to get my summer to do list made. :D :D I like lists
