DH has to give the calves sulfur tablets for the scours. They keep them on hand always. I found a recipe for homemade electrolites which has the same ingredients as the package my brother inn law has him buy.

I heard of two remedies for scours, canned biscuits and eggs. They supposedly work I don't know :hu They were from a reliable source.

This may sound stupid but how do you fix them? Cooked? Uncooked? baked, boiled or fricasseed? (that might be from Yosemite Sam)

I had a pretty good day. I got most of my supplies. I got the bottle, waterer, feeder, corrid, electrolytes, syringes, and needles. I forgot the dry feed, and didn't get the replacer yet because it depends on the calf's age. So I am all set! Then after there we went to Lowes and got some soil for the onion beds. Which I finished just a minute ago, I think over 100 plants :D These are for bulb onions, already have green onions. They should do good, I used a hay mulch, and rabbit poop. A recipe for onions if ya ask me. :D

TSC had chicks but none I'd have. Just meaties, bantams, and a lone white pullet. I hope my bator does good :fl
:woot

We may actually get some peas, beets, and carrots planted tomorrow. :fl

Snapshot, raw on both.

FJ, good luck with that. I want to try and finish our transplanting tomorrow, and then dab some peas in. :D

snapshot its definitely worth a try!

FJ, we are ahead than our usual garden activities. So I'm quite pleased actually :D I have 3 or 4 things I really want to get done: Get some peas in, till over the entire garden, and make manure tea. So hopefully we can accomplish it this week, its supposed to dry off for a few days. :fl

I hate headaches, and I have a buster right now :( :( But oh well. We managed to get a few things done today despite school. I got half of the old corn patch cleared, auntie got the old turnips pulled. Then Mom worked on some pruning on the ornamental trees. Then I candled my eggs, I have 24 out of 24 developing. :D They went into lockdown a couple of hours ago. I hope it goes good. I have the water levels up, and misted the eggs. I know some will dispute me on that but according to folks here who with them thats how they manage to get results out of LGs. I know if this don't do good, I'm selling it and buying a hovabator :D Then we have the duck, and she is being weird with the eggs. Why I dont know, last time she broods with the flock though. THEY cause WAY to much trouble. :/

:fl Good luck. I'll be trying my LG again in about a month. Maybe I'll try misting the eggs, too.
