Well I guess its time to update. Not much happenings around the homestead. EXCEPT the Granny let me bring my sprouts to the screened in porch that has plastic over the windows. So I have 4 trays now and I resowed three of them because the alfalfa wasnt doing good and wanted another wheat tray. So thats taken care of. Then she let me bring a table in there to setup my grinding shop. Im taking the stuff over there after church tommorow when the table should be dry. Then tommorow I need to make enough rabbit feed for the week since I will be in school. :(

But we need to get back in. Then I would like to convince the Mom to order chicks today. And have them shipped for the second week of March. Does that sound good? Im anxious for some Buff Orpingtons, Im atracted to them.

Since this snow has melted there is a stream flowing behind the chicken coop and the ducks have drunk out of it. I havent had to take water to them today :woot

Mom is out right now. She delivered the eggs to that woman who bought them.

Did I tell you I put a tarp on the dog kennel? Well we did and the chickens cant get into the dog kennel now :woot

So I think that is it!

Thanks Cindi! If I have time off I usually am busy, but during the week I am absolutely drained of all energy.

I know ALL about lack of energy :p I didn't mean to imply you don't usually work, just that I was proud of you for the things you have gotten done recently ;) Many of us have projects we know we SHOULD be doing, but just for whatever reason we don't get around to WHEN we should. Good job for tackling those and getting them out of the way! You're an inspiration!

Wow that set up with your sprouts and grinder sounds perfect!

Good idea on the tarp over your dog pen, as well!

Happy New Year!

Thats fine! I cant really think of any other projects I need to be doing. Most of mine are done for now. I have the poultry tagged, a bred rabbit (hopefully for meaties), sprouts sown, and the grinder is working good. I guess I need to get my SS books out and look for more projects! Because now that I think of it most of my 2011 projects are done. Except for the meat ducks and meat chickens.
