Hey guys and gals! Tommorow is going to be super busy!!!

1. I have my grinding table, I got it an hour ago. I have to setup that and get it ready. I will post pics tommorow!

2. The ducks need a lice treatment, gonna try wood ashes for it. Thats what the old timers say will work.

3. Chicken coop needs to be cleaned.

4. I seem to have contracted a broody chicken, so I have to move her if she is serious about it.

5. I need to move the rabbits out of the hutch into the small coop. They have grown alot in two days. Then my pregnant rabbit is building a nest.......

6. Finish my earth worm farm. I need to drill some whole and setup a drainage system........

BUSY, BUSY TOMMOROW!
Have fun!

Okay its been one thing right after another. The broody Dom got off the nest at 9 AM this morning so no broody Dom. LET DOWN. Im messed up the wholes in my table, luckily they covered up. When I got em right I drilled it right into the mid section so I couldnt put a nut on it. :(

I cleaned the coop out but Auntie forgot the straw, so we had to run back ot town to get it.

Heres the crappiest part yet. Im so mad! :somad

I called my cousin today, I had some extra layer feed and I told him it was his if he wanted it. I cant feed it since the ducks arent laying. I told him about my broody fiasco (second time that crap has happened) he said he had a broody Buff Orpington that I sold him back in the spring so he asked me if I wanted it and I said YES. I have wanted a broody for two years now. So he said he'd load her up and get a dozen buff eggs (so I could have some buff orps for my flock) a chicken breed I have wanted for two years. SO I WAS HAPPY, ETC. I went and padded a nest out and got the other feeder out. Then got the waterer, and had it filled was getting up to take the waterer out there. He called and said she was off the nest and she had been broody for two weeks (he had just not let her set) . I was heart broke. So this is when me and Auntie go to town for straw. I take him the layer feed and we stay and talk for 20 minutes or so. So I go in his Buff coop and there was one setting in a nest so I got all excited and told him. He went in there and got her, and she wasnt the right one she was laying her egg for the day.

I sold him those chickens back in the spring :somad. They have laid all winter 13 eggs out of 14 hens a day and he has a broody not to mention that they are huge. :somad

Well James, sometimes you lose out on some good birds :( That stinks, but it's not the end of the world :hugs Maybe he'll give you some chicks from the broody and the trait will carry down :hu
