Bee your lists look like mine.

It is always funny to me how a single line on my list - like:

4. Organize and clean out my attic.
or
9. Of course, repaint some rooms in the house and set up an organized center for my sewing.

... can look so easy and quick on paper and yet take days or even WEEKS of hard sweating labor to get done.

Power to you sister!

... you are going to need it!:thumbsup

This house screams for some soft, creamy yellow in the living room and for a cool blue of some shade in Eli's room. The laundry room is also the Barbie Doll nude color but I will save painting that for when I absolutely have nothing else to do and it will be yellow also.

I tend to gravitate towards colors that make me happy or soothe me in some way. The kitchen is the perfect shade of old enamel green, as is my bedroom. Jon's room is a cool, pretty blue. This color scheme is like an old quilt and I like it for this house. I'd like to accentuate with some bold reds in the living room, as my furniture has some deep red print on it.

Java, you colors sound quite beautiful to me! :love

This house is one of those older farm houses with small rooms, small windows. The living room has enough windows that I can go with a warm shade of yellow but Eli's room has two small windows on one wall and none on any other. Its a dark, stuffy type room so I'm going to lighten it up with a blue, green, gray pallet of colors to lighten, brighten and cool it out. The sun comes in those windows in the morning only. Anything would be better than baby poo! :sick

Thanks, Farm! I know it sounds like a big list, but I'm giving myself plenty of time to do it.....a year. A year to get things moving. And, you know what? That's only a partial list!

You guys tend to forget that I don't have a husband to take up my time....just me and my evenings and weekends. And Jon can feel good about helping me if he wants to do so, or just stand and talk to me while I do it, it makes no never mind to me. I'm going to try to work my misery away. Its working for my mom and it will work for me. ;)

One more QUICK idea.

My BIL's dining room was flat medium gray - how depressing!

I took an old Walmart bag and a can of semi gloss eggshell paint and ragged right over that gray. Then we painted the trim with the egg shell as well.

It came out looking like marble or clouds! REALLY classy and nice. I would have never believed that it would look that good... and it was FAST.

Maybe for that laundry room?

Now, that's an option, Farm! Thanks! I'll have to think of a good color to overlay Barbie doll nude that won't darken the room. :)

bee, I think a big long today list is just what you need....well that and starting up some fun projects, like sewing and basketweaving....those sound like fun.

I hope to make time to learn how to sew sometime soon.

Bee I love check off lists!! (I even have a book dedicated to them somewhere with some really good lists!) l love my own the most, I get more done if I check off a list. I keep it on the fridge. My dd gets one too on the weekends or when she is home in the summer.

Sounds like a very productive list!

Hey Bee, I bet a soft blueish off-white ragged over that "nude" color (what a beautiful way to put that by the way  ) would look really cool, like peach marble. And it would lighten the room up too.

I was just going to suggest a light blue for your barbie doll walls.

In our basement bathroom my mom sponged the walls white and pink, it looks really nice, for pink.

In our old house on the property, my bedroom was 8 feet my 6 feet and had.. PINK floral wallpaper! My the walls in my brother's room were completely molded over, so he got a nice blue put in. :/ we only lived in there a couple years, thankfully.

Excellent suggestions....don't great minds think alike? I was thinking of the blue myself for the laundry sponging! :D There aren't too many colors you'd want to blend with that one that won't come out a little muddy or dark, is there?
