For 10 years we lived in our house with plain white walls or with wallpaper.

A couple of years ago, I got a bug in my bonnet and decided to paint the kitchen. It had green/white plaid wallpaper halfway up to a beautiful sunflower border. I left the paper (not in style anymore, but it's cheery to me) and painted the rest a beautiful, strong yellow called "Beach Umbrella" that matched the sunflowers.

That led to tearing down the paper that had been in my DS's room for about 5 years. I painted it a pretty, bold robin's egg blue. It has brown curtains and brown accents. Hip for an 18 year old.

That led to redoing my craft room which just had a paper border at the top. I painted it a mint green.

Then, that led to redoing my DS's bathroom. It had black and red pinstripe paper. I painted it "Wheat Grass" which looks just like it sounds it would. I kept the red and black accents.

That bug has officially left my bonnet for a while. I did all of that in 3 weeks.

Sometimes a gal just needs a change, doesn't she? I've wanted to paint those rooms for the past two years but never found the time.....life is what happens when you are making other plans, ya know?

My favorite aunt, Betty, brought me a Point and Paint and I'm dyin' to use it! I'm a very sloppy painter, can't seem to help it, I'm just clumsy. I'm hoping the P&P will improve my trimming capabilities. My aunt used hers and said it was easier and quicker than any paint job she's ever done.

I'm hoping to lighten and brighten this home, so as to lighten and brighten my mood along with it. I'd also like to create some rooms that are more conducive to entertaining guests.....like some of you all! ;)

As it stands, if I have company, I have to give them the most comfortable bed in the house.....mine.

I've decided there is little I can do about the bathroom. I recently retiled it with the sticky tiles and the subflooring is so damp that they are coming off. Yes, I know the flooring is slowly being ruined but my landlord isn't the sort that will fix these types of things. His loss, not mine. I'm going to see about putting down linoleum...this hides alot of flaws and will seal off the moldy smell of the flooring.

I'll give him a call! :gig

I have a friend like that.....no real proof he is gay but he is ultra feminine and has always been. He has a beautiful home and owns a very popular gift/antique store. He definitely has a flair!

I will try to do befores and afters but it takes a half hour to download each photo at times. We'll have to see......

I am currently downloading a photo of......ME! Just for all you folks who wonder what I look like and especially for DACE!

AND.....ta-da! Here is the Jules at age two...notice I was already into raising rabbits, the rare Blue Dutch breed...very sweet and easy care rabbits.

I was also into the easy care hair style and the natural look. At this time I was experimenting with the chocolate facial mask and found it very beneficial for the skin...note the baby smooth skin!

:D

Not anymore, Aly, not anymore...... :( But I was born one! :D

I was a bug-eyed little creep! :p And my hair always looked very mussed like that unless my mom scraped it back into pigtails....we called that the "bald buzzard look" back then...very painful! :barnie
