NO Free, not you!!

There is a lot of tension on the goat topics that I have noticed. Namely b/t two specific goat folk. They constantly bicker...sheesh! Maybe the goat section should be divided b/t "set in my ways" and "willing to try something new if it is good for my goat". Or "natural" and "man made".

That Black Betty is so adorable though! Is she loosing her hair or growing it for the winter?

My Kat is brillowy like a terrier! Yours look soft and sleak!

She is losing it, if you can imagine! Taking her long enough.....Ugly Betty shed hers very early on but BB seems to be holding onto hers like money. You can actually pull it out by the handfuls but she's getting leary about letting me get my hands in it cause I can't help but pick at her! :p

Under that wool is very slick, very shiney black hair....and her new, black wool she is starting to grow for winter. The old, brown wool sort of looks like a cape she has thrown over her shoulders....almost like you could peel it off in one piece!

Her wool is very soft and fluffy, though. Not as rough as it looks.

I get what you are talking about, BBH. Can't they offer their advice without disparaging or lecturing? I guess that's why they got an earful from me....can't stand it when someone jumps on someone willy-nilly....the poor lady just wanted to cut expenses, not starve her goats! Sheesh!

Oh Bee, the sheep are looking great!! Today must have been a "sheep day" I went out and took pics of mine today....little Mary is finally starting to grow. She is still scared of the other sheep...she better get over it before winter sets in or she is going to be VERY cold!

No Free, not you! Other people..

The one certain person nailed into me because I use herbal wormers as needed, don't feed any medicated food, do not give vaccinations, and use as little conventional medicines as possible, while still maintaining a nice healthy herd that produces great amounts of milk.

The other person nailed into me because our milking does aren't on pasture because we don't have enough pasture space (even though we have plantly of room, just none that is growing grasses), and said, and I quote; "Yeah, your animals' welfare means so much to you that you keep them penned up unnaturally just so they won't encounter a wild onion and ruin a quart of *your* milk.. How very generous of you.
We raise dairy goats, too, btw. Ours have plenty of room to roam and exercise and play, and the milk is still good. You should try it sometime...your goats would thank you to be let out of a dry lot prison and afforded the ability to actually be goats, I'm sure."

And because I wouldn't let an orphaned fawn that I know nothing about be put in my barn and possibly threaten the health of my herd.

That particular argument started all because they didn't agree or like my opinion on something. They later, according to their posts, contridict everything they ever said to me.

As I had told Sally the other day, I try to stay away from BYH.

I digress.
