Mountain Sage
FD, that "roar" is more like a honk!...as I blow my nose and sniffle.
Morel, she is logged in under Grannybones....and she knows who I am. Hope she never makes it over here in the Harmony Hut....could completely ruin the gentle vibes.
Farm, you are NOT alone....even us mountain goats can get a little.....er...nervous on the high ones, and those were much higher than we have here.
There are two mountains here that give me the major willies and I am not really in control of that feeling. It happens whether I want it to or not. My legs start to ache in the back and it creeps slowly up my rear and into my gut when I cross the Shenandoah mountain and when I go up to Spruce Knob Lake (highest elevation in WV).
This happens if I stand too close to an overlook at Blackwater Falls also. It aggrevates me that I cannot control this bodily reaction, this adrenal gland jumpstart. But it happens....even to us Highlanders.
