BBH, I guess I better keep quiet too :duc
But I will say that Susie and her feathers dusters were outside nearly ALL day and SO worked in his tshirt, when he ws trimming the lavender bushes.
We are scheduled for some serious rain though, and wind.
Got the wood in the porch and the ahy freshened up in the animal pens. We are as ready for a rainstorm as we can be.

Keep nice and cozy by the fire, everyone.

Hahaha! OFG you funny! :hide NO WAY am I answering any door! :p

Farmer Denice, I wanted to post a thread asking how long stored firewood will last b/c I have not made a fire in the wood stove (except for one cold week we had in December) all winter. The lady who owned this house before me left me a whole wood shed full of wood. My daughter and I have been having camp fires and toasting wieners in the back yard fire pit with it. :hide I thought I'd wait to post when everyone else had nicer weather, you know so I wouldn't be rubbing it in and all. :p

BBH, I have been using wood that was stored at DD's for the last maybe 3 years. The stuff that was sheltered was very dry and some of it burned quick, there is a lot that is not sheltered and the bugs, fungus and weather are decomposing it. We hope to get as much of it put on a better and more protected wood stack at this house, so we can use it. As of this year DD is not allowed to burn in her fireplace, because the house is within city limits. (one more reason I did to want to be annexed, but the developers "out voted" us)

There is actually a city out there that doesn't allow people to burn wood in their own woodburning fireplaces inside their own home? sheesh
