So far the new job is going ok. I go again today, though I wasn't supposed to. More money for me, lol.

Murph, shoot one and see! Lol. Well, do it legally, but ya know! Venison basically tastes like beef in my opinion. But I also think that lamb tastes the same.

Deb, most people around here don't seem to understand deer. There aren't too many places where the deer cross though, so people crack them ALL the time. I just so happened to find it fresh, and fortunately not on state prison grounds, lol.

I have a feeling most people around here don't understand them either.

The job is going very well. I love my regular clients! My first client owns a huge farm and the son still runs it (cattle and all). I've learned a lot from the couple (the man is my client, but I help out the wife to care for him) in the week I've been working with them. Since they're on a farm, they've lived an SS life. While now they purchase a lot of their food, they still have some SS stuff. She showed me the pantry today... She had hundreds and hundreds of jars on the shelf and two of the HUGE chest freezers. I was just astonished. It was honestly bigger than anything I'd ever seen in pictures here. They trade around for a lot of their goods that they can. She does all water bath canning, and does the meats, veggies, etc. She also pointed out the one local dairy. I've always known it was here, but always assumed that it was incredibly expensive. Here, they're CHEAPER than Walmart milk prices, they don't inject their cattle with junk and it's super fresh. The cattle run around behind the store, so it's really neat. Wish I'd have checked it out much, MUCH sooner!

Now, coming to the dairy, today I stopped in for three half gallons of whole milk. The largest size is a half gallon, and they're glass containers. Anyways, I had the boys with me, but they were behaving very, very well. The lady in line behind me handed me her wire carrier. I asked how much they were and she said don't worry about it, consider it a gift for the boys. So I get to the register to pay for my milk and ask the cashier how much the carriers are, again, the lady behind me says no, it is a gift and I refuse to accept anything in return. Turns out they were $9 a piece! She said "See, they're expensive. Don't you dare worry about it because I won't think twice about $9 to help you out". So I go to pay for my milk and cannot find my money. I asked the cashier to set it aside and ran the boys and myself out to try to find my money. I'm digging around and here the lady who was behind me came up behind and hands me the carrier and milk and says "It's all taken care of, don't worry about it." By then I found the money and she again refuses to take the money. I started crying right there in the parking lot. Some random lady just paid somewhere around $18 for my milk and carrier (the bottles require a deposit, but when you return them, the next bottles are free and you just pay for the milk). The way the world is today, with how people are, one person doing something so huge and kind is just a total shocker and made me so happy I cried!

So, I've been ordering seed catalogues (just for random reading, didn't really plan on ordering, lol) and made a comment on facebook about finding my herb seeds. I had planned on doing a few potted veggies and herbs. Anyway, my mom sees the facebook post and asks me if I plan on doing a garden. I was like, well, no, I was going to do some pots... where would I put in a garden?! She says, "well, you'd have to do raised beds in the back yard" So... guess who's doing a veggie garden? Me, me, me!!! I'm soooo excited. I cannot believe that my mom is letting me "destroy" a section of the yard to do a garden! And this time I don't have to waste a bunch of space on corn to satisfy the ex-boyfriend, lol.

Work is going well of course. This week, if all goes well, I should have 14 hours of overtime!!! I'm stoked, lol. I'm getting switched off of my two furthest clients and they're bringing me closer to home. I've got mixed emotions. I LOVE my clients up there, but I cannot afford the gas! I've been putting $45 in my tank every TWO days!!! And they only reimburse us for milage between clients, and only $.22/mile. :/ I plan on visiting the gentleman and his wife though. The other client, I may visit once in awhile, but I'm REALLY going to miss the couple. They are SS, live on a farm, etc, etc. The wife has taught me a lot in the three weeks that I've been up there. I'll miss the daily doses of good information, lol.
One of my clients that I'll be keeping is doing a trade with me. I'm not sure it's technically allowed by my employer, but what they don't know won't hurt them, lol. She has some malaysian trumpet snails and I have a betta that I want to get rid of. I asked her if she was interested in trading and she said heck yeah, she's been wanting a fish for awhile and she's got too many snails, lol. I'm excited, lol.

Hoping to get off my arse and figure out a lotion recipe, as well as maybe some shampoo. Need to get my soap moving though before I want to invest any more money into it though.
