I'm working up for a big garden this year too Bettacreek. Hubby brought home the fencing over the weekend and I pouted because it rained all weekend and we could not really get started. Well, we could have but who likes to work outside in the pouring rain?

I guess it is better than where it is freezing solid but the ground is too wet to work anyway so being thawed is not always all it takes around here.

What are you going to plant? I'm having so much fun planning.

I'm going to do tomatoes and peppers again this year for sure. Other than that I'm not sure yet, lol.

I wrecked my car today, not too bad, but enough to cost me some money. Slid off the other side of the road (two lane one way highway thankfully) and ended up taking out a sign and was facing the opposite direction in a ditch coming down the mountain around a turn. The sign put a scratch and a minor dent (smaller than my palm) in my passenger side door. My mirror protector case was smashed but the mirror is good. Popped a tire though, that's where my money is going. :/ Plus $50 for the repair guy (cops wouldn't allow me to change it there for good reason, since it was on the turn and the roads were making people slide and go out of control at 5mph). So, I'm not exactly thrilled. The deductible is actually $500, so it's probably cheaper to just pay out of pocket and never report it to insurance. Lots of people were checking to make sure I was ok and a lady gave me a triangle warning thing and some guy actually shovelled me out and wouldn't take money for his help. I'm fine, just a few strained muscles and a funky bruise on the palm of my hand from the steering wheel. Now, the McDonald's sweet tea that was in my cupholder couldn't be saved, lol. Work told me not to work tomorrow if I was scheduled (wasn't anyways) and then let them know how I felt. I told her I was just fine and if I weren't pissing around with a doughnut for a tire I'd have gone in and taken care of my next client (who they had to get me covered for unfortunately). I freaked out a lot of people though, lol. I left a quick message at work which apparantly never went through, and texted the boyfriend that I wrecked on the mountain. Don't you know, after that, I had trouble finding service and no texts would go out after that and all the incoming phone calls weren't making it. So work was worried because I never showed at my last client and never called as far as they knew and they couldn't get ahold of me, my boyfriend was sending text after text because I didn't text him after the initial text and when I finally got ahold of my mother at prison (she works there, lol) she could hardly understand because I was breaking up too bad and she ended up leaving work early on family emergency, lol. It took about an hour before I could get real service and settle everyone down. Just wish me luck that I don't have to put a lot of money into the mirror casing and the tire please!

Glad you are okay! Sounds like the car will be a pretty simple fix too. Poor tea though...didn't make it out  It shouldn't cost you too much to get the car road worthy again. Look online for the mirror. Sometimes you find some really great deals ;)

Definitely check craigslist for a tire. Get the numbers off the side of the tire for your size.

Glad your okay. I was in fear of dh doing that in our new car week before last when we had some ice and snow. He hit a dog about a month ago. The dog was okay and ran off into the woods(we saw it later and it wasn't even limping) but it crinkled our fender and jammed the door. I could just imagine what would happen if he did actually hit something.

Check for any junk yards near you. There were some low hanging branches that hit the side of my hubby's Durango one day. They tore the mirror off on the passenger side and hurtled it thru the window. He didn't stop because he didn't know what was going on. (His first thought was that someone was shooting at him-it was dark.) He was able to find both the window and the mirror at a junk yard. I vacuumed up all the broken glass for him, and he replaced both on his own. I think the total cost as less than $200.00.

Glad to hear you're okay. Glad the job has been going well for you too! Sometimes you can luck out at junk yards and get almost new tires too. Maybe worth checking out...
