Can you find some more things that will get you and the boys out of the house, that might not cost so much???

Sorry for your frustrations.

I've been trying. Unfortunately, there isn't much around here. It's a college area and all the "kid stuff" is bars. We can go to the park and feed ducks, but my youngest doesn't tolerate the cold very well and gets cranky. That only costs about $10 for the scratch grain and then gas to get down there (it's maybe 10 minutes from here). Other than that, there isn't anything indoors that I know of (I've even done google searches and all that) that is within 45 minutes of here that we can do. I mean, shopping... The boys behave, but for the most part, they're not truely entertained by it, and I sometimes buy stuff that I shouldn't.

Lots and lots to update! LPN school starts July 1st! I'm super excited to get the ball rolling finally with that!!! $15k for that, but grants and everything will reduce that quite a bit.

Got several new scents for my soap and stuff. Ten new scents if I remember correctly, lol. I'm also starting research on lotions, so we'll see how that goes, but it'll be awhile before I actually have any for sale. The bath bombs ship well, even in 90F+ weather!

Also finally made some homemade laundry detergent. It's gloopy but whatever. It cleans, so who cares. I also started mixing up oxyclean (well, the Sunlight knock-off brand version) as a pre-treater (mostly for the kids clothes) and it works pretty darn well. I think it was around $3-$4 for a pound of it, and it mixes up one scoop per two cups of water as a pre-treatment... IE a little goes a long way!! I put it in a spray bottle and just spray away like a crazy!

I'm glad you like the laundry detergent. We are on like our tenth batch and we are so happy we switched. I smirk when I walk past the expensive detergents they have available at the grocery store.

Good to hear things are working out. :thumbsup

I love that laundry soap. I think I have been making it for two years now. Geesh, that's a lot of savings.

Yep the bath bombs ship very well! It was 96 here today, and I think inside that box was a wee bit warmer than 96 when i first opened it ;)

That homemade laundry soap...is supposed to be "gloopy" or at least mine always is too, so you must have done it right :hu or perhaps we're both doing it wrong? It still works though, and that is the important part, right? :D

Yeah, that stuff is supposed to be yucky looking like that. That's actually the reason it's taken me this long to make it. I was waiting for someone to figure out how to make it a little nicer in texture and share the details, lol. But, with a three year old a two year old, a step dad who's an electrician, mom and of course myself (I get dirty clothes from fishing, playing with the boys, etc) we go through a LOT of laundry detergent! This stuff is less than 1/10th the price of the CHEAPEST laundry detergent around here! So I just said to hell with it, I'll deal with the goofy texture!

The other day I bought new molds for my soap, making individual bars so they look more professional. I also bought new label paper (ivory marble) and business card paper (ivory), and now looking for a barter for a logo and website help. I also just bought 7 more trays of the heart shaped bath bomb molds. I had two, lost one, so now I have 8 and can make 118 bombs in a go, making different scents even. That's 37 PACKS of bombs! I am also hoping to use them for other things other than bath bombs, like lotion bars and maybe even mini soaps. So... Here's to hoping that the upgrades can sell my soap faster and get the upgrades repaid quickly, lol.

Just a good old rant!!! I used paypal at the end of last month to make a payment. I had forgotten that the account listed on paypal is the account that I do not use (my other accounts have overdraft protection, this one does not, hence, I do not use it), SO I got a $30 overdraft fee. MY fault. I called the company and paid with my card via the phone, then asked them to cancel the payment through paypal. They cancelled the payment and I tried to remove that account from paypal and put the correct one on and of course, it wouldn't let me. I called paypal and the gentleman removed my account for me, and I asked him if it would still try to take that money out of my account... He said NO. I asked if it would take it out of my checking account once I put that on then, he said NO. Today I check my bank and there's a mother flunking -$30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called in and wasted five bucks in cell phone minutes just to have them tell me they'd pull the conversation and get back to me in 3-4 business days... Are you freaking kidding me?! Gah! Right now, I HATE, HATE, HATE paypal!!!

They tried to call back but I didn't see the call until too late. But, no money in my paypal, so I'm assuming they were calling to tell me tough ****, you get to pay for our stupidity...
