I made some liquid soap up by cubing up some of my lavender soap, and tonight I used it to clean the counters after cooking. It actually worked pretty darned well on the hamburger grease (85/15, eww, lol). So, I'm going to pick up the last of my soap from the parents' house tomorrow, along with my canner. I'm thinking about doing a monster rebatch of all of the soap I have over there that is in desperate need of a good rebatch, then turning some of it into more liquid soap for cleaning. It doesn't take much at all. I used about 3oz of soap for a ten oz container, and though it's watery and not quite like liquid soap, it still works very well for cleaning. It's alright for the hands, and is actually saving me some money, since I tend to use about the same amount of squirts for the thicker stuff. I'll definately be using lavender for the cleaning soap. I just adore the scent now (used to HATE it!) and I much prefer lavender over the citrusy crap we usually use, and DEFINATELY prefer it over that spray bleach crap George uses. That stuff suffocates the sin out of me!
