I didn't read the middle two pages so someone may have already suggested it, but in Nourishing Traditions there is a recipe. I forget what it is called but it is bulgar wheat soaked in yogurt and then heated until dry. It tastes pretty close to grape nuts!

Our favorite breakfast is Brown Basmatti Rice mixed with any kind of vegetable
or mixture of vegetables, scrambled eggs and whatever kind of leftover meat
you may have. Chicken, roast, mutton, pork chops, etc...
This is very filling and you don't need to eat a lot.

Plain ol' oatmeal. Used to hate it, now I gotta have it. I always have this granola recipe made up with a variety of different fruits and flavorings. Freezes really well.

Oregon Cottage Granola

1 cup brown sugar (can reduce by 1/2, but granola won't be as clumpy).
1/2 cup oil (olive or coconut)
1 cup honey
1 TBSP vanilla
9 cups rolled oats or other rolled grains
1/2 cup sunflower seeds or other nuts
1/2 cup total of any of the following: ground flax seed, wheat germ, wheat or oat bran
1-2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 to 1/2 cup flour (I use whole wheat flour)
1 cup dried fruit (I use more)

Heat oven to 350 F. Mix sugar, oil and honey in a saucepan and cook until sugar is dissolved. Meanwhile, mix all the dry ingredients except the fruit in a large oiled roasting pan.

Pour the sugar mixture over the dry ingredients, stirring until evenly coated.

Bake for 10 minutes, stir, bake for 10 to 15 minutes longer.
Remove from oven and add dried fruit on top. Let cool about 20 minutes before stirring once or twice and letting it cool completely.
Makes about 10 cups.
