My BIL is from Alaska. He always jokes (I think he's joking), that you would get more jail time for shooting a moose out of season than you would for shooting your wife.

My GS is about the same age as your DD. He was born on February 27th. He usually drinks about an ounce or two and dozes off. If you try to take the bottle out, he often startles and will suck some more.
Today he had a lot at once though. So I expect a growth spurt ;)
I find it amazing how little I get done, when I babysit him  It is so hard to put him down.

Her bio mom would only let her have 2 ounces at a time, and when we got her, I fed her to the point of when she was done.
That was 4 ounces every 2 hours. And as fast as she could suck it down too!
She is backing off from that now a bit. Growth spurt for sure.
Plus, she is likely feeling some satiation from getting enough saturated fats in her diet now.

DD feeds GS as much as he wants, when he wants, but most of the time he only wanted barely 2 ounces. Today he had 6 ounces and then 4 ounces. And he slept a lot.
I babysit 2 days a week now. I love it. Can't wait to have DD put him on an organic formula though. I'd prefer the homemade from scratch version, but she likes the convenience of powder
But then she is much more busy doing stuff than I am. ;)

I loved looking threw your blog. What a beautiful family.

I miss the new baby smell, but dont envy your nursing trials. Its so much work, but its worth every bonding second. Best of luck.

USPS is being kept busy now, and it feels like Christmas every time Dh comes home from the PO now :love

One of several packages that arrived this morning, was the huge one from my SIL that she sent right before they were evacuated from Japan.
Her little girl was unable to wear many of the the gifts that were sent her, because she was too chubby.

I told DH this morning, that we need to get going on the room for her, cause we are running out of space in the master bedroom :gig

Church is giving us a shower in two weeks, and judging by the talk, we will need to drive the truck that Sunday :th
It has been a long 4 years for us. Waiting for a baby, and losing so many along the way.
Everyone there feels fully invested in this little one :love

In the beginning, I was afraid to give our addy to those that asked to give Mary gifts. I did not want to put down roots without anything official. But I realize that was plain foolish. God is in control of this situation, and we can see His hand in every detail.
Even the costs needed for the home study are slowly being taken care of!

I know exactly what you are talking about. We had 3 showers for our adopted son before we brought him home. We'd been to meet him but there was no guarantee that something wouldn't fall through. I was very upset that they would somehow jinx us and tried to convince people to wait until we had him home. No one could wait to share their generosity with him and us. Everything turned out fine in the end.
