USPS is being kept busy now, and it feels like Christmas every time Dh comes home from the PO now :love

One of several packages that arrived this morning, was the huge one from my SIL that she sent right before they were evacuated from Japan.
Her little girl was unable to wear many of the the gifts that were sent her, because she was too chubby.

I told DH this morning, that we need to get going on the room for her, cause we are running out of space in the master bedroom :gig

Church is giving us a shower in two weeks, and judging by the talk, we will need to drive the truck that Sunday :th
It has been a long 4 years for us. Waiting for a baby, and losing so many along the way.
Everyone there feels fully invested in this little one :love

In the beginning, I was afraid to give our addy to those that asked to give Mary gifts. I did not want to put down roots without anything official. But I realize that was plain foolish. God is in control of this situation, and we can see His hand in every detail.
Even the costs needed for the home study are slowly being taken care of!
Yeh, that. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.......

She had a fall in her room early this morning. Drs. cannot find anything wrong, but she has remained unconscious. And now her kidneys are shutting down.
She has been in assisted living for a long time, so I know she has been ready to go for some time.

The amazing part?
She has been praying for a great grandchild from me for many years.
Last week, we received a card and cash gift from her, that she sent after seeing Mary's pictures.

The sad part? No funds whatsoever for me to go down there.
We used what airline miles we had to help buy the tickets for my in laws to visit this summer.

The plan for years by her request, has been for me to sing at her funeral. I had learned Day by Day in Swedish just for that event, many years ago, after she got me the tape to learn it by.

If I were you...I would call and sing it to her over the phone while she is still alive, her concious mind will pick up on it and it will be one of the sweetest gifts ever.

X2 Sorry about your gran BB, mine had a similar fall a year before she passed and her comatose state was due to bleeding on her brain. She did wake up, and lived for a year or so afterward, so all hope of gran recovering is not lost just yet. Praying for you :hugs

I'll fourth the vote on singing for her while she's still here. I think both of you will feel so much better knowing you did that.

I'm so sorry for you and I hope you and your family can find peace. :hugs
