I just clicked the wrong thing and landed on the first page of this journal instead of the last. There I noticed the date. You started this journal one year ago today.

Another vote for calling. Best friend's dad had almost the same experience (kidneys shutting down, completely unresponsive after a surgery) and he heard all of his children & grandchildren around him talking about old times & praying for him.
:hugs :hugs :hugs Praying for you guys.

I remember when my gran died. It was really hard for me because she helped raise me, but yet everyone thought I was a bit cold because I didn't cry at all in the days leading up to the funeral. I just don't cry easily, or well. But, at the funeral my mother had written something she wanted to read and couldn't do it, so I took it and went up and read it and as I was reading I was remembering stuff and I kinda teared up then. *sigh* kinda tearing now actually. sorry your going through this :hugs

When Dar was dying, I called her nearly every day, just to say I loved her and to let her know I was thinking about her and would miss her.

I didn't torture her with my singing LOL. She would have begged them to do her in early :p

But call. Lots :)

I n=know the rest of you are nto happy with your late snowfalls, but we expect several during the month of April, as we break up winter.
We got several inches of wet fluff early this morning, and honestly, its quite nice. It refreshed the landscape of yuck :)

Today, I locked the goats and RIRs up in the barn.
Those sneaky chickens have been escaping and laying their eggs who knows where.
We would find them skulking around every corner, with oh so innocent looks on there faces.
I only managed to find about half the eggs :/
I need those eggs to put under a broody hen and in the incubator so we have a fresh flock growing up this summer.
So, its jail for the group for a few days!

The ducks we are sitting for Birdbrain are sitting in the jaccuzi tub, preening and drying after a shower to clean up the muck. I nixed the bath idea, as the last time I gave them one, they flooded the bathroom and drenched me from tip to toe
So they got a shower, and then I set a huge window screen over the top to keep them contained.
Once they are dry, I am going to put them in with the goats as there is no muck in there. Just lots of fluffy wasted hay on the floor.

We also bolused the goats two days ago, and I am pleased to report a nice change in the standoffish behavior of a couple of them!

Grandma had a massive stroke for sure, and dad decided to wait to head up for a few days, until the drs determine the possible outcome.
Thank you all for you thoughts :love

We also got Mary's records and SSC.
Turns out she has a longer name then we were told.
Two middle names. Mary Katherine Maria ****
We are trying to decide what we will call her for everyday still.
Lots of options for sure.
I still cannot get my head around calling her Mary :idunno
DH is interested in calling her Katherine, and I can certainly go for that.
And its not changing her name on the record either, so no hard feelings that way, or extra costs.
