Such a cute house! I would go stucco too. I don't like dark exterior colors though :hu Either way, it's still a nice looking home :)
I agree. The color was a bad choice! (my choice :/ ) It does look better in person though. I think we are going to repaint it white w/ barn red trim. That dark green is really hot in the summer!
Yeah that's what I was thinking is that it would be VERY warm!! I like soft browns, and cream colors for exterior myself. That's why I like stucco. That's green? It looks more like a dark brown to me :hu

Oh I see the green tint after looking back at the photo...

I bet the lighter color will be great! And lower your cooling bill too ;)

i wouldnt go bright white on the exterior as youll get ALOT of glare...but a warm off white (yellow based rather than blue based) would probably give you enogh reflectivity to keep the house cool, wihtout getting alot of glare from the color, and 100% yes on the barn red trim.
im planning on painting my front door barn, the siding is a light grey with white trim and right now the green door just kinda blends in...
SO im thinking RED. itll pop and go nicely with the pink and white flowers im planning on filling the front flowerbed with.

That sounds like a nice color combo Pinky! We are leaning toward a low gloss eggshell. And I love "barn red". And I've always loved red front doors too! :thumbsup

I love white with barn red (that is the color scheme on my house;)). I imagine if you go with a softer white, it would have a nice retro feel to it.

So nice to have a Mom that makes your day, for no other reason than she loves you!
