Sorry buddy :hugs
Thanks! I just moved him aside and took care of my business! He'll get over it, I already have! He'll be thanking me when he has fresh bread for his chicken salad sandwich tomorrow!

I have the same problem here.
He wasn't like this 19 years ago... I think J is just extremely unhappy living out here. I try to make things positive, but it doesn't seem to matter. I think if he were able to find a job it would help!

It is truly amazing how much our self worth is tied to a job. My other half had a hard time when he lost his job, and my parents are really struggling, too. My dad just seems to be stuck in the same spot, and doesn't know how to make a change to adapt to find something new, and it is a bad thing for them.

I'm just turning my other half into a farmer  He balked at first, but now he won't touch store bought tomatoes :p Seriously, he is enjoying it, and we have founfd a few alternative money makers. He started sending resumes again this week. Not much looks promising, but it is coming up on Spring when construction picks up a smidge. I've always worked from home since we've been together other than a few regular jobs that didn't work with our schedule. :/ I have so much to do HERE..I don't have time for a regular job. I love it, but I hate it sometimes when money is tight, so I know the "useless" feeling quite well. It does do something to a persons attitude.

I would love to get a job, but I know my limitations health-wise and I know I could not hold a regular job. If we had a vehicle, it would make a huge difference. I just don't know if we can get this van to ever pass smog. And even buying a used vehicle is not financially possible. I really don't even know where the money to finish this house is going to come from... The only bright spot right now is that our utility bills are next to nothing in the summer.

Well, I missed it yesterday cuz I wasn't home and it took me a while to figure out just what was different...my gray-matter needs some serious sunshine to clear away the fog!

He, unfortunately has had some run-in's with the law and cannot get a driver's license or get hired by most companies or on the Marine base where there are a crapload of jobs he could do. Hmmm....so could you sell some things on Ebay and save up for a car? There are TONS of things to do from home. I sold acorns to make my house payment for 6 months  Seriously...acorns. :hide Anyway, just use your imagination! Look around your place and find the dumbest most plentiful thing you can and then look to see what it sells for on Ebay. Mesquite wood sells GOOD in the summer for smoking wood ;) I know you guys have some of that out there.

I know what you mean Dawn! You should come out here! It looks like we are done with rain and clouds 'til about August when monsoon season starts.
