Same here... Went to town with the neighbor, made biscuits and gravy for us all for lunch, did a couple loads of laundry, a few repairs to the chicken run from slight wind damage, and getting ready to start a pot of chicken soup. The rest of the time was spent in front of this computer and watching TV. Pretty boring all in all....
Biscuit and gravy nom nom. We had that for Breakfast with fried apples :drool

My son is taking the forever approach to raising mealworms  Every time somebody gives him money (birthday, Christmas, etc.) He uses a SMALL amount of it to buy something towards raising worms - so far, he has a cooler, bedding and food. He wants to get coloring (neon colors are hot sellers here) next, before he gets the actual 'base' worms :hu
I figure, even if it takes a long time, it's his money and he's putting it towards a future income stream, instead of garbage (we don't buy candy/soda/etc - if he wants that garbage, he must pay for it).

That's great! A budding entrepreneur! I'm thinking my target market will be other folks out here with chickens that need the extra protein for their birds since free-ranging is not practical out here in the desert. We also have a lot of folks out here who keep reptiles. I'm really hoping I can make it work! :fl

Hey Miss Cindi! My philosophy is "It ain't got to be pretty as long as it works!" My chicken coop and run is a perfect example of that! :p

Good luck Cheerio!! I hope it is productive! You'll get worm castings off of it, too, right? That is useful as well!

Well it hasn't been tested seeing as how there is not a way to get IN it right now...my coop is uglier than yours ever dreamed of being

I'll have to take your word for it! It used to crack me up over at BYC when these folks would post pictures of their chicken mansions! I don't know about your chickens, but all mine care about is where's the food and where do I put this egg? :p

The "Old Man" is going into Yucca Valley tomorrow and asked If I wanted to go with him. Two trips off the homestead in 2 days! I'm beside myself!! I'm going to ask him to stop at the feed store in Joshua Tree so I can see what chicks they have and to see if they would be interested in buying mealworms. I also want to find out who they order their chicks from and if I can special order if they don't already have what I want. I won't be able to actually buy anything tomorrow, but at least I'll get a few questions answered...

Yeah it did me too. Mine just want to know the same, and they're rarely in the coop anyway.
