Heavy rains last evening. We are fine, but the nearby city had lots of flooding. Several flooding events in the past few weeks

ptui! you're a month early, but as i do recall from the northern parts where i lived you can have an earlier fall. i do remember one time having snow falling on September 1st, big wet flakes almost two inches across. i'd never seen that before. you could hear and feel it land. of course it didn't stick or even accumulate, but it sure was an eye-opener.
down here we may see an early frost in mid-September but they haven't been too frequent in recent years, more likely a week or two later. i am ok with that.
