Coffee is ready. I’m borrowing a neighbor’s truck this morning to go get a super bag of feed. 1,000 pounds. Finally tomorrow my sister in law and I are loading up my truck on a gooseneck trailer to take it to the shop. It has either a diesel leak or an oil leak. I’m hoping it’s a fuel leak, easier to fix. Cheaper too.

My husband has eye cancer. Inside. Its grown over the last 1.5 years. We went to OHSU a teaching and research hospital in Portland OR. He has four options:
1. Remove the eye as a preventative measure against ocular melanoma. NOPE
2. The tumor is leaking fluid on each of the long sides. Get eyeball shots with a med to dry that fluid up, so she can look at it more closely in three months. Will decrease his vision some.
3. Put a bottle cap stitched to the eye with radiation beads in the cap. Radiate the tumor for a week. Will decrease vision alot, but hopefully tumor shrinks. Lots of vision loss. NOPE
4. Use a laser blah blah, but its experimental and not in full tests yet. NOPE.

Hubs chose #2. His first eye shot is at the end of the month. I don't remember if they are weekly, or what. It was a whole bunch to listen to and she talked fast.

So fast that hubs told son that they will be putting a needle in his eye to withdraw the water. I softly corrected him. We go back in July to see how the tumor looks. Obviously he'll be part of this Doc's research since he's got a Bum Luck diagnosis.

Dear Lord: I don't want to lose my husband to melanoma. I've been prepared for a few years for him to slide into dementia slowly, not be consumed by a non treatable cancer. Thank you, dear Lord.

edited to add> its a one in one million chance of this ocular cancer. Doc is the one that called it Bum Luck.

I am truly sorry, having done a LOT of cancer research in the last year with my husbands stage 4 I know the boat you are in all to well. I also know melanoma,
I will be praying for you both

We call it bull thistle.
From AI so take it for what it's worth.

It has many common names, blessed thistle being one of them.

Wet and substantially cooler today, sun is shining, so that's where I will be. I ❤️☀️

Been waiting for it to dry out so I can run the tractor and PTO wood chipper around the mow areas. I have piles of branches just waiting. But If I run the tractor now, with the ground wet I'm just going to rut up the yard. Oh well it will dry out enough one of these days...

I fixed myself two turkey eggs sunny side up this morning along with a piece of whole grain toast and a high protein bagel that FB made. Turkey eggs cooked with good ingredient store bought butter and storebought cream cheese for the bagel.

I think I got enough protein for breakfast this morning. 😋

P.S. When it comes to butter and cream cheese, I trust cows more than I do chemists. Just saying... Have a blessed rest of your Friday :)

Ahhh...blessed home farmed milk, cheese & eggs. I do make cream cheese with goats milk. 👍 Goat butter is good but, cow cream makes better butter. No cows here but tempting.

I believe bull & blessed thistles are similar but different. 🤔 Maybe cousins? Both a thorn in a pasture.
