I’ve been sick. Low fever, chills and goosebumps any time I moved. I’ve been in fleece PJ’s, putting on Carhart overalls, sweat hoodie and Carhart jacket twice a day to go outside to feed. Feel like a truck hit me, then backed up to see what he hit.
I was supposed to leave yesterday morning for Corpus Christi to help DD tear roof off small guest house and reshingle it. Uhhhh… nope.

I’ve been at a dead run for 3 months and finally stopped. It all caught up with me. At least I didn’t get sick during the move. I’m thankful.
Take care of yourself @baymule :hugs

Sold cattle yesterday... was afraid with the recent spike in gas and fuel prices we would take a hit but they did real good. Glad they are out of the barn with the rain and snow we got last night and this morning and the cold temps we will have today/tonight and tomorrow. Gas has leveled out here but still 4.29 for regular and Diesel in the 5.45 range.

We have a goat auction (bring other animals, poultry and stuff)today. 🤔 😶 rainy, windy, temps dropping.....won't be a sellers market! Nothing I can do here, so thinking to go -- only 8 miles -- even a great buy would require loading in this nasty stuff and that's a real turn off! Might not be much there anyway. Need to jump off of the fence. 😁 :idunno I think I'm just looking for some company. May go to say hello. ;) look and leave.

Had my coffee. Watched the rain. System moving pretty fast and going to mid 20s tonight. Ugh! I'm bored. TV and internet signals in and out.

If the other stockyard was only 8 miles away, I would have gone today just to get out and see what's going on. And... if you do buy something... yeah, no fun to deal with the crappy weather.... but might be the best buy you ever made....

But I am not going to go 45 miles to the sale on a day like today and with the gas prices.... and the cold....

It is COLD and really nasty out there... Has dropped to 20 now from 48 before dawn... and windy and raw....after 64 yesterday.... :th

If there is one thing that's truth, it's weather changes. Give it some time and it'll get better 😊

I'm going to start harding off my cabbages and onions tomorrow 👍

I'm sure selling you're cattle was a hard decision... But in the end the numbers have to work out, don't they? Or it no longer makes > cents <

Went to auction. Cold!! Windy. Limited animals but, very nice ones. Sellers got excellent prices, except for a couple pigs. Did see one goat I liked, nice animal and we'll cared for. But didn't take trailer, not going back and fight weather to get.....I passed and didn't even bid. Except for wishing I'd brought gloves, was an enjoyable few hrs. Nice to visit others. 😊

Started snowing while there...heavy downfall and big flakes. Went on for couple hours, but no accumulation. Stopped after getting home and I ran out to feed. They ate and went back to bed! 🤗. Temps dropping fast....low 20s in morning. Boo! 😲☹️
